taken care of the books and made sure that the mortgage payment was paid why is it all on your shoulders you just sound like the only one who’s actually in control of this I am the only one always been no he’s never even looked at the checkbook I’m really tired I’m getting tired of holding everything up and it’s getting old driving through here those Vineyards the mountains I mean you must be making a fortune well you know I’m well I owe 990,000 on this and we lose from $5 to $115,000 a month this is crazy yeah but how can the business not be in profit that’s my I I don’t know I don’t understand no that’s that’s what I need you for I honestly having seen the lobby and my bedroom yeah I can see why the hotel might be struggling but surely the restaurant must be making money with that view on the river like that well the restaurant is run by Dusty my younger son okay and then Duke and his wife run the music end of the business what percentage of the profits do you get none bloody hell it sounds nuts I know it sounds nuts just crazy wow I mean look at this place it’s like a missed opportunity beyond belief I mean I that’s what everybody tells me everybody says you got a gold mine here and I go well so far I haven’t found the gold this place is a patch of Heaven so I’m shocked to hear it’s not making money I can’t wait to hear why Joanna’s Sons aren’t contributing to yeah I run the sound okay mixing yeah okay great and how much do it to get in it’s 15 $15 $15 yeah so out of that $15 charge how much goes to mon none none wow let’s let’s have a quick word outside the place has got a million dollars debts yeah I know and it’s and and I’ve been sitting waiting and I I can I can relate I think I know what’s going on here when was the last time you had a smoke way earlier this after the 20 minutes ago no no no no this morning this morning definitely relieves stress but it definitely smells of a business that’s run by Stoners yeah I know dukee isn’t taking any responsibility for the lodge hopefully his brother will have a better excuse for not sharing any profits with his mom Gordon wants to meet you hello hello Dusty Dusty uh lucky Dusty by the sounds of things oh yes of course I would say hello hi camia chamia nice the chef right yes okay great I’m a very hard worker I think Gordon’s going to like me uh so are you making money here yes sir how much money do you make a month uh last month they made about 12,000 wow so you make about 150 Grand a year uh with everything working right yeah and you don’t pay a dollar profit to your mother profit excuse me the business is a million dollars in debt you make a shitload of money and your mom gets nothing I was shocked that Dusty makes that much and that bothers me because he should help me out financially known for well that you stand to inherit this business there’s still not a penny that goes in to reducing debts and this is your mother correct I’ve really devoted my life to this place and to be treated like I don’t care about my family and don’t care about this business it really cut to the core and I have no problem telling him to get the [ __ ] out of here I’d give a kick with the ass if that was my son I’ve gathered that the restaurant has absolutely no organization but what is more alarming is how dependent Jim is on his mother to run this business you thank you thank you we did it that was easy uh I’m not going to laugh let’s just go back to the beginning driving in and looking at the place breathtaking walking the reception and it’s just Cate in dust and that Tower in front of the entrance is ladened with 5,000 dead flies tonight I just want to see how this place functioned and hand on heart I’ve never seen such a dysfunctional business in all my life surely you must know that this is not right I I think we know that but you think I’m I speak for myself and I can say I know that and yet every walks around as we’re doing a great job and laughing and joking as if to say we got something to be proud of I wouldn’t say we’re denial no [ __ ] I got told when I checked in Jimmy is the general manager can I just tell you the feeling when you walk into this place there’s no Authority there’s no responsibility and staff are just going through the motions and if you are even going to attempt to step up to that position you can’t go home pant yourself on the back saying you’re doing a great job you need to start implementing Gordon we would like this to be the starting point of that you know we want that we just you know you get a little overwhelmed and you don’t know you know how to proceed the the general consensus in this building is that you are generally running around 7 days a week for everybody it’s true and tonight I witnessed it firsthand this is no life for a lady in the 60s no it is banging the head against the wall that is not right can I just have 2 minutes with your mother on my own please [Music] yes this is insane honestly you look like the pot washer assistant tonight I know sometimes I am the pot was assistant seriously yeah I think I’ve gotten so used to it and so I just keep doing it I know but you’re doing more and more every week every month every year and it’s not right and that must be having a toll somewhere you can’t continue like this I agree has your son taken enough responsibility I think that I he probably feels that he has because he’s never probably had the life that I’ve had to know what it’s like to work for morning tonight he’s never felt the Jeopardy that you do on a daily basis no nowhere near it no one has and it shows he knows you’re going to do it and that’s the problem and he’s got so used to that that he’s not going to come out of his comfort zone and do any more because he doesn’t need to I want Jimmy to wake up and take the burden off your shoulders and step up and start showing some form of responsibility you should think about a letter about what you need from him going forward think about something strong and speak openly and if you can commit that to me then I’m going to commit myself to you and get in this place back back on the map okay yeah promise I promise thank you okay get some rest I would not spend my money here at the restaurant no I think the food sucks how are you Mandy Hi how are you’re busy you’re always running around yeah amazing um how long have you been general manager um 2 years two years no disrespect you don’t look like a general manager right I’m not that anymore oh yeah [ __ ] seriously seriously did you ever falling out with them because no everybody’s incompetent apparently really I’m sick of not really being the general manager um I kind of feel like I’m being pulled in all different directions I don’t really have a say in anything how would you describe the owners Vanda is borderline sociopath um the other one I don’t know I can’t describe it’s just never here so wow I appreciate your honesty thank you wow Mandy seems pissed I suppose if I was working as hard as she is and the owner sought the staff with a problem I’d be piss too thank you this is the broccoli cauliflower right get you new drink thank you thank you it smells [Music] BG that’s [ __ ] birg so sorry taste it just a small bit look mm- it is absolutely [ __ ] disgusting does the jef not care no no I don’t think the cooks care anymore but I feel like a lot of us have gotten to that point okay Wy fish strip which isn’t a strip it’s like a ball honestly how hard is that thing I’ve never had it cuz I don’t like it is it fresh or frozen frozen but it looks like crap so I wouldn’t e it Jesus Christ that’s what it takes uh yeah that is disgusting man I mean what’s going with this place what’s everything who’s the most assertive out the sisters fanda cuz reena’s not here no how committed are they to running the business don’t care I think they look at it as like well I own it so we can do whatever we want sleep till 3:00 in the afternoon keep the bar open till 5:00 in the morning I mean how do you respect somebody who does that oh no no no no no no can you get me the owners and the chefs yeah thank you D you’re welcome the food here is horrific it’s as if the chef is cooking in her sleep Gordon wants to talk to you guys now you don’t need me here to tell you the soup is that disgusting that even before anybody tasting it it smells burnt this is why we make our own food I don’t eat beer anymore unbelievable have you given up young lady do you hate food what’s going on I used to love my job and now I hate it I can see what’s not working for you the owners I’m not going to tolerate disrespect you know we’re not getting paid we’re not paying ourselves can’t as owners complain about not being paid you [ __ ] own the place they don’t have ownership of this historic building I their daddy’s not paying for everything can I tell you something Gordon Jen has called herself the best cook in town she has stop picking on her you have turned every [ __ ] member of Staff against you I used to be really chirpy and happy and I I can’t even smile anymore it’s not about you yeah and I can’t even I can’t even motivate myself to do my projects anymore again just listen to both of you kill me kill me kill me you’re only as good as a team underneath you whether you’re here 3 months a [ __ ] year or 3 hours a day it doesn’t matter yeah yeah [Music] grow up I’m appalled I was promised an American beastro instead I get a sampling from around the world I was expecting fresh food but I get recommended frozen fish what’s going on here you’re T Chef are they made in house no they are not no thank you [Music] James wow it’s just Frozen crap reheated and how can you make slice of chicken look so Bland I wouldn’t give that tie experience to my [ __ ] dog L6 is on the fire too James I’m struggling yes sir where’s the chef from is he a local boy yes he is I think left to his own devices he do very well he’s very limited on what he can use for ingredient wise because he doesn’t do the shopping who does the shopping now Kenny does the shopping so he’s almost like cut the balls of the chef off yes sure M6 M14 menu at the river rock is pretty much outdated uh it’s Kenny’s menu it’s been here for years I don’t agree with the menu but it’s he’s my boss he pays my my salary and still you know get to that point where you’re just kind of burnt [Music] out hi Gordon Amry how are you tough on this one what did you do here I bartend and I help manage Ken’s the chef and the chef that’s cooking is not allowed to cook his own dishes yeah it’s almost like he’s sort of cut his balls off well it’s kind of what he does with all of us oh really he deflates you strips your confidence won’t let you make any decisions executive or otherwise that’s crazy and it’s it’s a lot of micromanagement why’ you stay here and I’m a loyal dog unfortunately I’d bend over backwards for him but I’m that bones wearing thino that’s Chef Ramsey that might be the golden ticket thank you thank you Jesus Christ almighty it’s like someone’s just dropped a [ __ ] T-Rex foot on my plate holy that’s honestly in fact that might be a small valdan or sh oh that’s a small one yes sir I mean it’s like a meal for eight that valdano can feed an Ethiopian family of 40 you know what I mean horrific this is not what I would expect in a country in it’s worse than a nasty Roadside Diner I feel like I’m eating a [ __ ] flip-flop with mayonnaise Ken the owner looks like a zombie sleep walking towards disaster it’s time to get everyone together and see if I can wake Ken up how much money are you losing per month right now about 5 to 7,000 a month and that’s on the decline correct if those rooms aren’t that busy why are they so disgustingly dirty they they they’re dirty because I didn’t check them it’s almost like we’re robbing customers when I arried you give your food seven or 8s out of 10 yes but the food was Dreadful Seth how long have you been cooking almost 18 years as a chef 18 years in the business are you proud of what you serve personally I don’t age it’s Kenny’s menu it’s on the menu so I want what I want I know what I want you can’t hold people’s hands in this business if you don’t fix this in they’ve all lost their job I honestly think that Kenny needs somebody to open his eyes so that he can see that everybody that works for him is capable and we’re dependable and we’re here to help him increase his business and make it successful and nobody’s here to hurt him I’m here to help it’s impossible cuz you are not helping yourself and it’s not as if you’re the captain of the Titanic you’re the [ __ ] Iceberg yet you haven’t stared at yourself long enough in the mirror and actually understood where the issues are you’re looking at them good night do you ever ask yourself if you have a problem holding on to things have you ever heard of the word hoarder miss Karen this is your business this is your hotel not your junk shop mhm can you get the team out from the kitchen I’d like to have a quick word of you all in the Terrace sir good luck with that stuff yeah M we meet the team on the Terrace 1 2 3 4 5 six six bags you want to check the things for bugs as well [Music] I’m in shock are you joining us mrah or you still writing labels no I’m not writing labels anymore let’s go I arrive the facade of the outside looks beautiful I walk through the door and it’s just like a cluster of [ __ ] crap everywhere moldy bread in reception freaky dolls up to the bedrooms that’s like just hideous wardrobes packed with clothes from 30 years ago and I had to ask Miss Karen to get rid of the padlock so I can open up the wardrobe and put my clothes in there honestly the place is just ridden with with this it’s like a hoers Anonymous obviously I needed a place to put my clothes and so that was where I I put them you can’t just hien off a wardrobe cuz it’s full of your crap like I said I’ve um it’s just a storage area no but it’s not a storage area just like your fridge downstairs this place is played with junk on top of junk freezers overbearing overfall and as for the disgusting way that the fridge is kept with a moldy salad there salad that’s fested and it’s like it’s almost sort of disintegrated the center rotten can I just quickly go on the size of the menu the kitchen’s about as big as my wardrobe it’s too it’s but why are you telling me that when the owner standing next to you I told her that but we we we have told her she won’t listen mac and cheese all separated every mouth was full of grease cuz it was so cooked in the microwave and that’s the way we do it people say that we we’ve got the best food in town and the freshes stop there now you’re sounding Slightly bizarre the best food in town are you okay well it depends on how you define okay I’m okay by by my standard but mac and cheese I mean come on you know what are you looking for now are you taking notes yeah you’re taking notes yeah you’re making some good points and you’re laughing what’s so funny then help me to understand I don’t have anything to do with the food so I don’t know what you’re doing I’ve got no idea what you’re doing what I ask her to basically so she does what you say she helps me yeah Jeff is this correct I tell him to do one thing and Sarah tell him to do one Miss Sarah tells you what she just and she said she’s a volunteer she tells my crew what to do and it pissed me off I get I get mad then they blame it on me she’s got no authority to do that I know Jeff you’ve never talked to me about this I have told you I have told you about this is this is this true is this way you treat the staff nothing more humiliating to the team that are on the ground keeping this place open and then a stranger comes in and tells them what to do well she’s not a stranger she’s been coming here to them she is because she’s not exactly qualified to run this place this is so screwed up this is bizarre ain’t nobody hearing me what I’m saying and what kind of message you sending the menu needs to be down a menu like this there must be 50 items on there which 49 of them are Ted out of the bloody freezer this place is so messed up it’s a mess a disgusting festering mess oh you ain’t seen nothing yet
