$2.13 an Hour Because “You Make Tips”
It’s wild that paying someone $2.13 an hour is still legal because “they make tips.”
Tips should be extra.
Not the thing keeping you alive.
If you’ve ever worked as a server or bartender, this probably sounds very familiar. Whats your best or worst tip story?

Agreed, to a degree. I've worked in bars my whole life so I'm used to basically just surviving off tips. The tip system basically removes the upper ceiling of how much a person can make in a shift according to how busy it is. On a good football Sunday my hourly reaches $60+/hr, which I'd never ever get in wages from any restaurant in the world. Tipping culture as a whole is out of control in America, for sure, but I don't mind taking advantage of it until it gets fixed lol.
Employers legally have to pay min wage if your tips are less than min wage.
Are people being forced into these wages at gunpoint? Nahhh didn’t think so
No tips! Your stupid stuff is infecting my country now. They ask for tips but earn the same as me i hate it.
If you dont like your wage why did you take the job 😅
