I Tested Butchers with High Reviews
In today’s video, I visited three butchers with the of highest reviews I found online to sample the quality of their Steak.
After I visited each Butcher, I cooked up the Steak that I purchased using completely different cooking methods and gave my thoughts on how it tasted.
There is nothing I enjoy more than visiting high quality butchers and this video showcases some of the best that Melbourne has to offer!!!
Really enjoyed filming this one and the Steak was absolutely exceptional, what an experience!

Aussie Guga… Happy Australia Day
Comparing different cuts using diifferent cook methods is ridiculous. Zero consistency. Come on man, you're proving nothing. I'll unsubscribe soon if you continue these rediculouse “challenges”. Does a Porsche perform as well as a McClaren? How about a Porsch if the McClaren has shite quality fuel? Get real and present some true comparisons. I'm wanting to like your videos but they are pathetic.
Awesome content yet again bro keep them coming
Any steak i buy now I reverse sear on the weber, as is easier to get the sear point up than my smoker.
Love the videos! Don't normally comment, but I always watch each video as it comes out.
Wow I never knew such great steaks were available. I think a road trip is on the cards!
There is no such thing as “wet aged” in the sense that it improves the quality of the meat.
The only advantage vacuum sealing meat has is to store it for longer. Just saying.
Nice one! Great video and challenge
That last steak looked incredible. I wanted that one out of all of them. Winner?
Great video again mate. Try out James Brothers Meat Co in Keilor for some Wagyu!
Cheers,
Nath.
Highly agree mate, reverse sear is the way to go. Such smooth way to render internal fats. Beautiful crust black Angus thick boys sirloin or rib eye love it!
Great video! So when you reversed seared it in the smoker did you flip it?
I was desperate to find a new local butcher, these rippers will get a visit from me very soon! thank you
hey mate absolutely love your work! just curios on what the cost will be for a steaklad press? on the market for one and was just going to get a cheapie but will for sure interested in yours!
Subjectively, Grange is wrong with their comments leading onto grain fed being 'better'. Grain feed is cheap and viable when unable to move a herd to alternate paddocks, so of course the cow has easier access to food. But grain feed, if being the major or sole nutrition, turns the meat to shit. Hence why the US meat market all tastes like shit and such marketing emphasis on grass fed beef.
They were good looking steaks there Darcy. Pity none of them re near me.
Another awesome video mate. Will have to check out some of these places. I usually go to Kelly’s Meats in Tooradin. So much good stuff there but doesn’t hurt to branch out. Cheers for highlighting these places 👍
Nice cooks my man
Hello Darcy, have you tried " The Feedlot cattle Call" ? That is a Umami flavour bomb.
Paddock to Table- The BEST butchers in Aus 🔥🔥 Well done, Darcy!
You should do a video of the full process from the farm/slaughter to the steak on the plate.
That last scotch gets my vote.
That Weber smoker is a nice piece of gear, congrats on the purchase.
do you salt your steak before you taste them?
Sick concept. How about airfry a steak?
great vid as always
The Farmers Butcher – is my local just down the road from me. Remember support your local butcher and not the supermarkets! Great video as always mate and Happy Australia Day!
Good Onya Darcie.
Love your content and your enthusiasm. 10/10
Love the vid bro, but bone in changes the end flavour
Glad you tried my local, Paddock to Table. They've got an awesome selection. Keep the vids going bro, loving the content, saw the comment about Aussie Guga, hope it sticks lol
big ups for the smoker reverse sear, it's something I don't see people do often but it's such a goated method, low and slow smoking the steak up to temp before searing gives it such a nice flavor with those thicker cuts. I get dry aged tomahawks sometimes and it's the only way I'll cook em. You know it's a good cook when your immediate reaction is "I gotta share this with someone", last time I did that method I was tempted to go wake up my neighbours 🤣
another banger
🔥🔥
Great to see Paddock To Table Getting The Love It Deserves!
hey quick question where do you get your thermometer from?
I want to marry steak number 3.
Can't beat dry aged for sure. Next time give this mob a try Griffin & Morris Village Butchers in Berwick.
happy as that you have the same smoker "smoque" as me so i can just directly copy anytime you use it lol
Looking forward to the video of the lowest rated butchers!
Amazing progress 🎉❤
Man that scotchy 🤤🤤🤤
