Most chains, even some that aren’t Italian seem to do it’s own pizza and I’m going to 5 of them to see just who does it best. A Pizza can vary in quality so much, and everyone knows these chains, so let’s see who does it best.

Why go out for Pizza when the supermarket one's are so good? Thinking of Ital Pizza etc. I know it's convenient but frozen pizza is so good these days as are Asda deli.
If there was 13 pepperoni slice on the spoons pizza, theyve shorted you one slice. It does look like there's 2 in the same place though.
Using knife and fork to eat pizza is common in italy
Big fan of the Wetherspoons pizzas for the price and generally good pizza. I mean, it's pizza, anything over £15 is problematic for some dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. I would have liked to see the local 'pizza and kebabs' outlet getting rated too!
Also the 'small plate pizzas' which are good value if you want to add some wings or loaded chips on the side.
wow! back in the late 90s and early 2000s the frankie and bennys pizzas were epic! they came on a massive high up stand so you still had room on the table below. They were huge! the Best pizzas! bit of a joke now really. amazed the chain is still going at all with that rubbish.

The scoring system seems objectively wrong. Each pizza seemed to be judged from the previous pizza experience instead of overall experience.
When Spoons is the best overall is it any wonder these chains are struggling?

Pizza Express in Moscow in the late 90s early 00s had a deal that you could buy a pizza a day for a year (in advance) for 100 dollars. I bought that the year I started my first job just in case everything went haywire, so that I would at least have a good meal a day.The best thing on the menu, though was the ceasar's salad and the dough balls with garlic butter.

Not watched it all, but just in case, Franco Manca, one of the nicest pizzas Ive ever had (out of a *lot*) and it was like ~£10. In London!
Why didn't you choose some good pizza restaurants? And the prices of those places are crazy. You can get amazing pizza for the same price.
Bella Italia looked best to me. I /like/ a well done base. A pale underside is a no-no for me. I tried Pizza Express, but was /not/ impressed. Maybe I was just unlucky, but it tasted like a higher end frozen pizza, full of blandness and regret.
Best pizza in my area comes from the kebab shop

A wetherspoons colleague told me they use the same dough mixture as pizza express.
Disappointed with the Frankie and Benny's experience. It used to be the hottest place in town for tea (dinner) out on a Saturday afternoon and the pizzas slapped.

There was a time when I loved Pizza Express. Not any more though, and not since their prices sky-rocketed and the size of their pizzas began shrinking! You're paying more for less food! I think £16 for a pizza that is 10inches is far too expensive! Their Romana base is now £18!?. That's insane! That's why I don't go to Pizza Express any more and I won't be going there any time soon either. If I want pizza, I make it at home, and it's super delicious!!! 🍕🍕🍕
Damn, I feel like you need to go to another F&B! The one near me is always great, sometimes a bit busy and chaotic, but the food is always hot & the pizza looks waaaayy better, and I’ve had pizza at other branches and they’ve been fine & the wait you had last time is not okay 😂 maybe a brand branch?! weird!

Speaking as a pizza chef from a small independent place, this whole video makes me sad 😢 honestly why people go to these big chains is beyond me. So many amazing independent places up and down the country that kick these pizzas arses all day long.
spoons pizza is always a gamble but that's part of the fun. you get even more bang for your buck when taking advantages of the monday small plate deal (or small plate deal in general) and pizza wednesdays. three eight inch pizzas for a tenner, i don't think any other place can get close to competing with that
So I came across your channel last year and thought 'eh, no thanks'. But then I came back to them recently and have pretty much watched every single video. I really enjoy how down-to-earth and kind you seem; I also LOVE that bouncy stock song 'Sophomore Makeout' — please PLEASE keep it in your vids, there's something so nostalgic about it that really adds to the appeal for me. Anyway, yeah, all that to say you've become my new fave 'person who eats stuff on YT'!
