I don't know about tipping in other countries, but in the U.S one of the reasons why is because employers didn't want to pay Black employees in the service industry livable wages so. 😬
Minimum wage plus tip tipping should be extra for a job well done .

The reason Chilis and Applebees have been keeping their place is they understand that they’re not meant to be anything but what they are: sit down eateries with maybe a couple drinks. Nothing fancy, nothing too pricey. Their meal deals and cheap cocktails keep me coming back and it’s a reliable spot with reliable food.

Yes McDonald's back when I was younger had the best of Everything! Sometimes I treat myself and the place I go to you have to wait. And I mean wait,on the plus side the food be Excellent Excellent! And the lines be crazy. By the way I live in your area. I still have yet to try the Haitian Restaurant in Irvington, N.J. Maybe one day.

i agree mcdonalds food has been getting worse, like my quarter pounder just tastes like slop and nothing. a waste of 9 dollars. And the price is crazy. the only gthing good from mcdonalds is the sweet tea. the frappes are good but too expensive. Like so many fast food places has been disapointing me and ive put them on my chop list. Instead of paying for low tier food thatss 8-12 dollars id rather just spend gthe extra money to eat from culvers . i hate having bad food.

When I went into serving for the first time, I told myself it wasn't logical to assume that everyone that I tend to is going to tip me at all or over 15% every single time, it just doesn't make sense to have that expectation because we can't control what other people do.
Quality has fone down exponentially after covid. I dont bother anymore, I have more fun making food at home.

I know I'm the weird one here, but I hate eating out. It was funny hearing her talk about the server thing because that's one of the things I hate the most. I find it so annoying how the servers constantly come to the table. I generally don't care for the entire experience, really.
That was me at a very popular Ramen spot in Atlanta. I did not like it at all and when my friends wanted to go for a birthday dinner, I went and had to demand that they bring me salt. Once I added the salt it tasted great.

I am so grateful for the McDonald’s by my house. They are fast. My food comes out hot and fresh. The workers at the drive-through remember me they greet me warmly they ask me how I’m doing if they notice that I’m already tired or having a bad day.
Well in this economy after I’m finished paying bills, all I can afford is a bag of beans, rice, apples, and bananas. 😭
