24 HOURS Eating in San Francisco CHINATOWN 🥡 Ultimate Cantonese Food Tour
We’re spending 24 HOURS STRAIGHT eating through San Francisco’s CHINATOWN to find the absolute BEST Cantonese food! As someone born and raised in Hong Kong for 20+ years, this place became my family and community when I moved to the Bay Area — and it holds an incredibly special place in my heart.
This food tour takes us through Chinatown’s iconic institutions: from VIP Bakery’s Baked Pork Chop Rice and HK Milk Tea to classic dim sum and roast meats to R&G Lounge’s legendary Salt & Pepper Crab. Together we are going to find out whether San Francisco’s Chinatown can truly compete with the authentic flavors I grew up with back home.

I just love your videos
they're really relaxing I always watch them while I draw
Pineapple King on Irving has the best milk tea. I'd recommended that if you are on Irving.
I used to work in Chinatown and VIP was my go-to lunch place. I missed that pork chop rice. Thanks for bringing back the good memories for me. That's my uncle at Capitol eating. lol
Fumbling a HK baddie for a mommy is crazy.
You are probably too young and have never eaten at the original VIP Cafe. Ask your parents, they might have eaten here before.
VIP Cafe was the best cha chaan teng in SF and was always packed. Their hk style milk tea, baked pork chop, baked spaghetti bolognese, baked curry (best potato – I think they deep fried it or they pan fried it so the outside was crispy and inside was soft), chicken wings, club sandwich, and red bean with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Metro Dessert looks like an HK sub-standard subdivided home. They have so many things; it's like a storage. Plastic bowls?
Watching u eat always makes me hungry 😭
No good Chinese BBQ in SF. Has to go elsewhere. For the char siu, most don't use the the right cut (the shoulder). Go to HK. It's the best when it just comes out of the oven. 1/2 fat, 1/2 lean and a bit burn.
With roast pork, only need the pork belly.
Yes!! R & G lounge is definitely not a tourist trap. Their crab is top tier. Great video! Come try Oakland Chinatown!
U will find someone special😁
My number one favorite is Lucky Creation, and I'm not veg.. Wheat gluten combination, to die for… *Eggplant w black bean sauce in a clay pot, yummy. Closed Wednesdays, cash only, duh. I've been a patron since the late 80's❤
please tell me ur reviewing mister jius in part 2 =p
The food is SF CHINATOWN toisan country cooking. Sometimes we hire Mexicans to cook because of cos. They do a great job. The owner cannot work 7 days 12 hours a week
U are a lefty like my Daughter😁
Try Harbor View resturant in SF😋
Check out Cheung Hing at 2399 Noriega Street in SF.
Wasn't expecting that "F" bomb LOL
Hit up Milpitas and Dublin
Your Chinese born in Hong Kong was PERFECT in that year. Communist Chinese NOW owning Hong Kong is very, Very, VERY SAD.
My grandgongon was born in Hong Kong in 1910-ish. A VERY rich, White guy found my gon-gon dad and took him to food ONLY in the rich guy's home in Palo Alto, CA. (so RICH…. that White guy's business is STILL going, even he's now been died may years ago.
Now I'm 72y/o. I used and started a business when Apple was JUST selling in 1982-ish. Personally…. a "game and fun" is a business. The $$$ will be automatedly forward, BUT "fun" is the FIRST in life.
