• 4 cups whole milk
• 3 large eggs
• ¾ cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon butter, melted
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for topping)
• Optional topping: whipped cream or sour cream

I'm surprised that the rice swelled
to the point of absorbing milk all the way to the top. I used to make something similar, but think there was more rice to that amount of milk; yet there was always a layer of plain custard above the rice and under the crust. Ideas?
