Day 3 of 14 Days of Love Behind the Recipes is all about spaghetti sauce. I started making my own about 16 years ago, and let me tell you that fresh tomatoes straight from the garden are not it (especially when I’m the one trying to grow them). The secret to my favorite marinara has always been preserved tomatoes. They give the sauce that rich, deep flavor that makes spaghetti and meatballs go above and beyond. My kids and their friends light up when they see this on the table, and honestly, so do I. Simple, nostalgic, and made with love every single time.
