My manager asked me to babysit his kids ‘for the team.’

  1. Do i pay for the lights? Do i pay for the clothes on your back, do i pay for the food in your stomach, do i pay for your phones and entertainment? Theres your allowance, now do as youre told or you can go to your room. Im not an employer, i am your parent. And op, youre fired. Please leave my house. Were not playing games in the family. These are called responsibilities and you are expected to either cooperate or you can enjoy the basic necessities that are required by law, but no more games and emtertainment. Just because your boss was a dick to you doesnt mean you have the right to change how he parents.

  2. I'd be proud of my children, negotiation skills are extremely important in adult life and work environment.

  3. Basic chores are not payable labor. Thatโ€™s called teaching children how to take care of their home as an adult. I donโ€™t get paid as an adult to clean my house or mow my yard. Neither will my kid. Therefore Iโ€™m not going to pay them as children for basic chores. Allowance is a socialist propaganda tool to indoctrinate children into believing that those who earn more should have to support those that donโ€™t earn as much or any at all.

  4. I'd deduct all that wage for food, clothes and so on, ban sweets because said deduction isn't enough to cover that AND install cameras in their room. They want socialism, they get socialism.

  5. heh i used to be forced to do shores as well growing up without compensation… my dad always just said it was for payback for all the things i destroy.. i have AUDHD so i could never help myself when it came to pulling wallpaper off the walls or making holes in fabric larger or chewing on the metal tv remote while watching… i had to clean the house and spend 4 days every other week moing the lawn with one of those lawnmowers you have to walk behind.. and yes.. ofc half our lawn was on a steep incline.. and i did laundry and dishes and food as well.. my dad didn't understand my diagnosis properly until one time when we had a bad argument that made him bring me to a family therapist when i was 16 and finally he was told that i can't help the things i do.. thati don't do them just to bug him..
growing up my punishment was being locked into the basement or sometimes thrown out in the snow even if i only had my underwear on.. or my dad would make me apend time outside flr a week or so whenever i got home from school.. no games internet or anything indoors.. was only allowed to go in to eat and sleep..

  6. Offer them full wages per hour but then taxes Rent healthcare food toilet paper utilities etr +rent on furniture

  7. My allowance? I was allowed to live under my Motherโ€™s roof! Itโ€™s called free room and board!

  8. Honestly…call the cops and cps for child abandonment then leave and inform HR that you will sue the company for whatever you can since you ain't the boss' personal on-call nanny

  9. LOL. And dad then teachs them about room and board. Travel expenses. Why it is more advantageous to be a child with chores being taken care of by parents than earning minimum wage and paying for everything.

Housing in a mansion is expensive.

  10. Are they doing way too much for 10 and 12 year olds, probably, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with children helping keep up the household.
