    Let’s see where everyone’s headed!

  2. was JUST thinking about planning a Greek Islands trip. Now here I am, hungry, seeing all the sliced beef

  3. Maybe it was after I landed in Chicago at 11:00 PM and saw that it had it's hostels to offer at its CHEAPER flights above all the others in the city, that its pizzas and sausages were so tastier above every one else above else in the city!! 😆 Also, when I was there, everyone else on the street greeted me (largely because NO ONE ELSE was there 😄), so I had largely only myself to greet as the company of eastern Europe in central America!! 😁

  4. Hello..!!
The koulouri is traditional but you wouldn't call it the first choice for a Greek breakfast. The MUST for Greeks is coffee in the morning and may we have either a koulouri or a cheese pie or a croissant or a sandwich, etc. You can find easily koulouri with Philadelphia cheese and ham…
The yogurt you ate was sheep's and what you took out to the side, this skin, was the best part of this yogurt. This skin, which is created during the preparation of this yogurt, has a very buttery taste and is full of probiotics..!! This yogurt is the best of all the types of yogurts on the market, it is the traditional Greek yogurt. Sheep's yogurt.
A piece of advice if I may… Next time follow locals for food and not tourist guides. Even to eat souvlaki… They know better. Then you will understand the meaning of the word "speechless" …

  5. Great Episode❤, We would love to do some slow travel through Greece 🇬🇷
Currently putting the plans together on flying from either Perth or KL to spend a lot of 26 in India 🇮🇳

  6. Congratulations for being just about the first to correctly pronounce 'gyros'. Here in the UK our standard mispronunciation, or maybe 'anglicised' version is 'gear ross'. I did once hear an American on an Andrew Zimmern show call it 'jiy row' as in sounding like 'gyro' (scopic)
When we lived in Germany in the '80s there was a Greek restaurant just 5 minutes walk away which made exceptional food. Their mixed grill included gyros which they served with sliced mild onion and a soft mild cheese with the same consistency of some goat cheese, which to this day, we haven't been able to find. A memorable combination that we enjoyed many times.
Mum's favourite Greek food is Moussaka, and Kleftiko.

  7. Έχουμε σαλάτες πολλές!μια είναι με λάχανο μαρούλι και καρότο,λάδι ξύδι….δοκιμάστε την😊😊 προφανώς είναι χειμωνιάτικη.

  8. Your opening statement is awfully misleading and wrong. We don’t stay up late drinking therefore don’t want breakfast… we enjoy a light breakfast so that we have more room for lunch and dinner.

  9. You try to avoid tourist traps but somehow you ended up visiting only tourist traps. Except Stani which is legit and original. Not saying that the food was bad but you can definitely find much better choices.

  10. Guys, ouzo is not an aperitif. It’s a drink like tsipouro. We usually drink it with fish, and it’s a whole ritual. We say ‘Let’s go for ouzo’ or ‘Let’s go for tsipouro,’ and that means lots of seafood: calamari, shrimp, sea bass, red mullet, small sardines, and wild greens from the mountains—or armirikia, the special plants that grow near the sea—served with olive oil and lemon.

  11. FETA, the soft white “king” of Greek cheeses, renowned around the world! We all know it, we’ve all heard of it and many of us have tasted it… or at least we think we have! This Greek product has a protected designation of origin (PDO), meaning that only cheese made in some areas of Greece can be called FETA.

Homer, the legendary Greek author of Odyssey, described a white cheese, made of sheep milk 800 BC! Over the past 3,000 years the feta cheese making tradition has been perfected, resulting in a delicious cheese of amassing nutritional benefits. GFF is proud to continue this journey of authentic cheese making.

  12. FETA Cheese, a legendary gift from Ancient Greece

Did you know FETA means “slice” in Greek? The earliest references to FETA’s production dates back to the 8th century B.C. According to Greek mythology, the gods sent Aristaios, son of Apollo, to teach Greeks the art of cheese making. There are also many records regarding production and consumption of cheese in ancient Greece, from Aristoteles, Pythagoras and other ancient comedy writers.

But what makes Feta a real Greek myth? As mentioned, its production is described in Homer’s Odyssey and it’s quite similar to the way used by Greek shepherds nowadays.

The steps of the process are:

    – Milk production

    – Cheese-making

    – Maturation and

    – Conservation

FETA is manufactured either from Greek ewes’ milk or a mixture of ewes’ and goats’ milk. Then, it’s matured in brine for at least two months before being consumed.

The best period for Feta cheese production is from January to May. Of course, that depends on milk availability, as this is the milking season for sheep and goats.

Unparalleled taste & high nutritional value

Its uniquely sharp and creamy texture melts in the mouth releasing that glorious FETA taste. Quite popular in salads and cooked Mediterranean-style dishes, this grainy, aged cheese is also ideal for use in pastries, omelets, sandwiches and breakfasts.

The most suitable temperature for serving and eating Feta is at 15˚C- 20˚C allowing it to release all of its flavor and aroma.

  13. The thing you removed from the yogurt is the most tasty of all it is the skin that the milk produces during its fermentation and it is very creamy and tasty it is the best part of yogurt
