Instead of spending $4,500 on Super Bowl tickets, I headed to Oakland to watch the big game at Marshawn Lynch’s famous soul food spot: Rob Ben’s Restaurant & Lounge.
I’m on a mission to see if celebrity-owned restaurants are actually worth the hype or just a name on a building. In this episode, the vibes were high but the stakes were higher—I actually ran into some resistance from the staff and patrons for filming! Well, I know where I won't be going. This one woman has made it clear that this is not the spot. He was not a hothead. He stopped taping when asked. Her attitude is unnecessary.
After seeing them on 'Bar Rescue', and seeing the confusion you are going through, this place does not seem like a great place to visit. Too much drama.

I was recording in a restaurant the other day. I was with my family I didn’t ask anybody I do my best not to record people for reasons like this woman’s reaction. She is acting like a security guard, better be on payroll and have a personal investment in the restaurant. Customer service is apart of the experience. They are rude I would have been out, and don’t use this is a black establishment as an excuse for being rude. You are just rude.
