My mom is a substitute teacher in high school. She tells me that some of the students (both black and white) walk into her class with their pants sagging down and their boxer underwear showing. She asks them politely to please pull their pants up, and they do, but then when they walk to their seat the pants fall right back down. She says the school does not really enforce the dress code even though they have one. Crazy.
Some. Of. Us.
Not allā¦some

We can hate these young boys let them be great they will figure it out at one time we were them and someone your age was saying the same things about us
People just expect everybody else to not have standards
āRuth Chris isnāt fine diningā. Really? Because the one time I got the opportunity to eat there it was around $100 per plate minimum. And they had a dress code. If you walked in with your ass hanging out or too much cleavage showing they would offer you a jacket or something to cover up with. If something didnāt fit then they asks you to leave.
I'm going to say this respectful enjoy your wife, enjoy your dinner stop worrying about everybody . Y'all the problem . Cause nobody says anything when the others come, it's from golf with shorts and polo shirt y'all would just say they came from a meeting . I'll say this all the time. Black people are the most racist people against their own people so judgment . Or maybe I'm just different, because when I'm with my wife enjoying a dinner i only think I'm looking at is her or the way to walking out with another plate. Saying, oh I wanna try that next time
Nobody looks down on well dressed people (black or white) but we all side eye people not dressed appropriately for the occasion. Donāt want people to prejudge you as ghetto or trailer park?
Dress to respect yourself & youāll be respected.
As the saying goes: read the room.
It's like people wearing pajamas,,too freaking lazy to get dressed,,I agree with this gentleman,,
He talking bout US but he was never able to afford being there. You a rookie bro some of the filth got money to be there already. My daughterās 18th we took her and 6 friends and paid for everybody. Catch up
Im 32 i love jeans dress my best but i get looked at a certain way so imma put that suit and tie on.
Went to a steakhouse in Marietta Georgia a few months ago. Everyone was having a nice dinner then a large party of black people showed up and all you heard was yelling and shouting. It never fails. Doesnāt matter what environment you put them in, it will be the same results.
It's not really the dress necessarily but the type of behavior that unfortunately goes with it that will make me pay my check and leave early… Sadly, white lady
Ruthās Cris is 100 percent fine dining.
Class? Upbringing? Character? Values? Ethics? You can thank the CRA of 1965.
Dresssing appropriately say a lot about a person, as well as how they speak and how they carry themselves.
BIG FACTS!!! When I hit certain spots RC, Fogo, rooftop bars, etc. All my streetwear stays at home and pull out my "grown up" attire!!! Being in a 4-5š restaurant or venue with your pants sagging is TRASH!!! I 100% AGREE with the brother in the video and Anton on this.
I always dress well when I go out to a restaurant regardless of the location. I found out a long time ago, if you dress like you belong there and you look like you have a little money, you get better service because the server thinks you will tip better (usually). I have walked into Taco Bell in a suit and people thought I was a company inspector or something and I got the best food and service. Trust me, dressing well makes you feel better and changes the perception of others.
He is 100% CORRECT !
People would dress up for a plane rideā¦.
Watcha mean "we"?
We all know what u mean.
Common sense…Common behavior. What gives??? Going to church is different than going to do groceries š¢
I swear these places uses to have a minimum dress code. I just went to a real fancy place the other night and had a similar encounter with a similar crowd. I spent nearly $300 on two people, and the atmosphere was beautiful and quiet. Peaceful. They didn't make a scene, other than via appearance, but it was still – I don't know, disrespectful feeling? On the plus side, being someone who felt out of place in such a fancy establishment, it made me feel a lot better about my own attire.

Who is the OP?
He ghetto for thinking Ruthās Chris is upscale
I used to sag my pants as a teenager listening to rap and doin drugs and all that.
And then even as an addict into my early-mid 20s⦠I would be high on pills and still wear a belt with my pants pulled up.
Thank you God, Iām clean 3 years now.. but my point is that even a drug addict knew how to walk into places looking presentable.. said āpleaseā and āthank youā.. and held the door for everyone in front or behind me.
I was raised right. My decisions are my own.
These people just werenāt raised right and theyāll die on the hill that ābein hood is cool cuz Iām black, itās all I knowā.
If thatās all you know, no wonder that community has the highest poverty and unemployment rate.
Black people from the 1900s would be ashamed of black culture now. Truly. Rolling in their graves.
I hope if you have sagging pants and bubble coats on, you have a gun on you, otherwise i have 0 respect for it. If you bring that energy and arent gonna bring that energy, it's just sad in some places.
Few people know how to dress appropriately on the regular let alone for the occasion or activity. Itās sad and disappointing. The under 40ās are definitely the worst and it seems the younger they are the less they care.
We have start by stop talking about āWEā. THEY started the phase ā skin folk aināt kin folkā referencing anyone who is not holding water and staying on script. Iāll gladly stay in the so called Tom, coon or any other box that safely excludes me from accepting degenerate behavior based on skin or ethnic background.
It's vice versa when you do dress the waiters are intimidating and give poor service so it goes hand in hand I was just stay from places like that
I don't think it's just "your people". It's most people period. They can't be bothered to dress nice; respecting themselves and others. I remember being in an elevator at a hotel and a couple from England were talking to each other about people coming to breakfast in their pajamas! Pure laziness. People couldn't be bothered to put clothes on or comb their hair to come down to breakfast. It was embarassing.
It's called grown children
Iām just old enough to remember when people had decorum and respect. And class. Iāll admit that there have been times when Iāve gone into somewhere like Walgreens in a PJ set at 2AM. But it was because I was watching my niece for the night and she came down with food poisoning. So my neighbor stayed with her so I could go get some anti-nausea meds and some Pedialyte for her. I didnāt care what someone else thought. I just wanted a toddler to feel better. But other than that I at least wear Jean shorts to the grocery store.
There are niggas and there are Black people⦠black people can be niggaish but a nigga can never be black for reasons like these.
News flash! You will be judged no matter how you wear your clothes.. those same people laughing at the guy in the bubble coat was laughing at the guy at the table with his wife..
For Valentines this year, we had a nice dinner at home. New York Strips seared in the Lodge cast iron pan, American fries with caramelized onion cooked in tallow rendered from the steak trim, coleslaw, frozen green beans, Kirkland Cabernet, and homemade cherry and gooseberry cobbler with fruit that I grew last summer, ala mode for dessert. We both prepared the food, shared doing the cleanup, and had a wonderful quiet evening on the couch. We shared the work, and we shared the companionship and contentment as we have for 50 years. No worries about savages intruding on our time together.
Ruth Chris is the new Carnival cruise. Me and my wife went there for dinner with reservations and quiet couple table that I repeatedly asked for. We went and all we saw was yelling screaming loud ass voices, selfie pics non stop, swearing and we just turned around and left. It is trash now.
Not buying it! You're ALL WAY TOO JUDGEMENTAL!!! DUDE SHOULD'VE KEPT CUTTING HIS RIB EYE AND MINDED HIS DAMN BUSINESS! PERIOD. š
To be on the same level…strong, intelligent people of good character…RAISE THEMSELVES UP.
While weak, ignorant people of low character…BRING OTHERS DOWN.
Simple as that.
* In this situation…I would have called management out on this. For ALLOWING such a low standard of dress and behavior.
It's EXPECTED…that you will experience a higher level of atmosphere and decorum…than fking McDonald's..!!
I agree 100% with everything both of you guys just said I love Ruthās Chris and I go to the one or actually I donāt go there anymore because itās ghetto now cause it is a lot of us that are coming in like he said pants sagging smelling like weed messing up the whole atmosphere. Not cool we have to do better. I do go to the Ruthās Chris now it has to be the one in Beverly Hills are the one in Palm Desert, California.
Yeah. My son's and I went for dinner and these people walked in, bandanas on their heads, in their pockets, then I overheard them ask if they could share plates.
