  1. Love that you two are having milk and cornbread for lunch. I always shared it with my grandfather. Thanks for the memory. Terrific meal choice, Tammy!

  2. I make salmon patties at least once a week. I love regular cornbread, not sweet. That dinner is making me hungry. Yum.

  3. Reminds me of my childhood growing up. Mama always used red salmon and it was the meal you didn’t invite your friends over cause they smelled up the house and my Grandmother cooked them for breakfast with homemade biscuits and tomato gravy and a big pot of buttered grits!

  4. Tammy I just love watching you cook. My husband loves salmon patties and so do I. I make mine differently but I'm going to try your way next time. Thank you for sharing your love of cooking and teaching. I'm 81 years old and I have been cooking since I was 12 but I have learned from you. The thing I love most from you is making my custards in the microwave. Never again will I stand at the stove stirring constantly while the pudding is thickening…..never.

  5. Same salmon pattie recipe I grew up eating in Texas. Something about that onion just gives them so much flavor.

  6. Amen. You are real and we can tell you both are strong in the Lord. You both do brighten our days and we love watching. We are so blessed by you sharing your recipes with us. I love salmon patties. We put crackers and eggs in ours with just a bit of flour. God Bless you both.

  7. Fixed salmon patties when grandson liked certain cartoon, told him they were crabby patties, he took a bite & said 'no, thank you.' Well, at least i tried , 😆. Thanks, Miss Tammy

  8. I like your recipe for salmon patties, but it's so much easier done in a food processor and I drain the salmon and dump the can in along with the flour, corn meal, egg and onion. It whizzes it all up into a paste and no bones or skin are visible. It forms easily into a patty and fries up great in the pan. I drop them in the pan with a spoon and it always makes 6 patties. My mama likes them too. Stewed potatoes are good too. I do them without butter, salt or pepper and add pepper at the table if needed.

  9. Thank God you aren't making Yankee Cornbread, cornbread isn't supposed to be sweet, corn muffins are.🤠👍🇺🇸

  10. My sister made my mom & dad Salmon Patties for supper, she texted me Mom ate 5 total for supper along with some collard greens 😅

  11. For my supper tonight I had a fried Bologna and cheese Sammie’s, with potato chips and peaches for dessert, but I make salmon Pattie’s at least every two weeks, , love watching your video,

  12. Hi Tammy, I love salmon patties,my mother always would make cornbread, mashed potatoes and great northern beans and canned tomatoes with them, they have them big green onions in the store here they say there Vidalia onions they are so good, I hadn't ever put onions in my salmon patties but I am going to try your recipe for them

  13. Your meal looks amazing! I will be trying your Salmon Patty recipe, yum! Have a wonderful and blessed day!!

  14. Couldn’t eat or cook it if it had all that skin and bone. My mama picked it all out. It makes me shutter to just think about it.

  15. I will fix Salman patties for my husband, but I just can't eat them.😊 I also just received my corrected cookbook. Thank you, but it truly was not necessary. ❤

  16. My dad use to make Salmon patties for me one my favorite have not seen these year's bring good memories me but looks very delicious enjoy your meal have a good night tooo

  17. I absolutely love your cookbook, I read over it everyday & have tried several recipes, thank you for this! What small paring knife to you recommend?

  18. I use to make salmon patties shaped like donut holes when my two boys were toddlers. My oldest would run around snacking on them. A little ball in his little hand. He loved them.

  19. I made salmon patties tonight too, like yours, except I use Italian bread crumbs instead of corn meal. Yum yummy ❤❤

  20. ✍Hello Tammy,Chris, and fur babies🐾🐾🐾🐾You haven't mentioned Lucky🐾hope that cutie is behaving himself ha ha ha Tammy I just ordered 3 items for my kitchen and hope you get commission for buying them. It probably won't be much but wanted you to get the credit for introducing us to some new items. I also bought some Rada steak knives, tomato slicing knife and 2 paring knives last week. I definitely need to go buy some Brussels sprouts cause I haven't made in a while. Enjoy cooking with you Tammy. Good Night😴 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from freezing NE Ohio⛄

  21. This is a wonderful video. I grew up with fried salmon patties. They were made a different way and I can't wait to try yours. Your whole meal looks wonderful. I love potatoes cooked the same way that your husband does. I have to agree with you, Jiffy Mix cornbread is absolutely horrible. It is too cocky and too sweet. I grew up with cornbread that had no sugar in it whatsoever. By the way, cornbread is crumbly.😂

  22. Wow, I haven't thought about salmon cakes in such a long time! We used to enjoy cod cakes (made with fresh cod or sometimes salt cod), crab cakes, and salmon cakes (with either fresh or canned salmon). You know what? Fish cakes are definitely going on my meal plan! I need to check out the best deals on fish, but I know I can always pick up some frozen fish. I see you use Lily self-rising cornbread mix. I'll need to check out our local grocery stores for it. I think it's a great addition to your salmon cakes. Everything you've made looks absolutely delicious! Thanks so much, Cheers from Colorado!

  23. I had 2 chicken drumsticks, buttered noodles and green beans. Dove hearts and an orange for dessert. I love salmon patties!! I love the White Lily cornbread mix! Supper looks fantastic!! Now, i know how to stretch the salmon to make more than 4 patties!! Thank you Tammy!! And Chris!

  24. Tammy, I forgot to tell you, I got my revised cookbook. Thank you so very much!! I gave my first one to my Sister on Christmas Eve, she loves it!!!
    😊❤

  25. Oh I wish I had a plate of that dinner!! I've never had salmon patties. I personally don't like salmon, too fishy but from what you said, making it your way, makes it less fishy. 😋❤️

  26. Hi, Tammy. May I ask where the video of you and Amy making King Cakes? I didn't get to finish watching and can't find it now.

We grew up eating salmon patties. Brought back nice memories!

  27. Hi Tammy and Chris! We enjoyed these Salmon Patties for supper a couple of nights ago. Served them with remoulade, Granny's Green Beans, creamed potatoes, squash casserole and cornbread. Whipped up your banana pudding for dessert! No leftovers with my crew! Thanks for another video, y'all! 😊

  28. Honey ! Wheres the honey for that cornbread 🩷yes ! No box crap for me … I use the cornbread recipe off the Quacker container… but my book is going to try those!

  29. No slimy skin, salmon juice or bones for me either. I don't get to cook very often because my husband doesn't eat fish. 😊

  30. I fix 2-3 cans for me and my husband. We like to have leftovers for sandwiches. We eat them on a bun with miracle whip. Great meal!! I take my skin and bones out and drain the juice. It’s too fishy for me with all that left in the patties. Love ya!❤ I do share with my neighbor.
