This film follows Paraska Ilyuk, an elderly woman living in a traditional Ukrainian village during winter. Through quiet, everyday moments, we witness a life deeply rooted in faith, hard work, and ancestral customs.

She prepares dough and cottage cheese filling for homemade varenyky, slices salo and onions for a golden topping, and cooks everything on a wood-fired stove. Between tending the fire and boiling dumplings, she carries firewood, feeds chickens, cleans windows, and moves hay in the barn.

After sharing a warm meal and berry drink with prayer, she walks through snowy village roads to attend a traditional church service. Candles are lit, hymns fill the wooden church, and the liturgy unfolds in timeless rhythm.

The day ends at home, quietly turning the pages of old family photographs — memories preserved through generations.
