  1. Wait a minute! Is the “ Highlawn” in the Eagle Rock Resveration ?
I grew up in a town next to West Orange( went to grade school at Lourdes ) & lived in a house that was basically under the highest point in the reservation.
The view from my room was the skyline… and I watched the twin towers going up.
Is this restaurant where that big, spooky, deserted cement building used to be? Boy, do I have some stories about that place in the early 70’s!

  2. Looked up a couple of those restaurants on Google maps and see none with a rating higher than 4.5. So these are high priced restaurants with decent food but not exceptional. Also, Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange has views of Manhattan to the East so you won't see the sunset

  3. I took a date there around 2000 only to find it burned down. That is ironic as our relationship burned down too! I liked the previous restaurant Shanghai Red. That place was the jizz🎉

  4. You forgot circle in Newton or fredon 2 chefs trained in Manhattan under at i think he's name is Jean jocke 5 star Michelin chef I know food i live in Sussex not cheap but your taking your taste buds out for dinner look up reviews farm to table

  5. This list is for food Snobs who don't care that they are being ripped off. most likely don't know anything about food.

  6. I'll add to this list: The Stockton Inn. Renovated after many years, reopened a year and a half ago. Gorgeous, has indoor and outdoor dining and the famous wishing well is restored. So great ambiance, excellent food and insane high prices.

  7. You omitted Cafe Panache, which is bring your own, and Oceanos over varka any day of the week in Bergen county.

  8. I'm surprised Boulevard Drinks Hot Dogs in JC didn't make the list. When you go for 1 and eat 6 every visit it becomes expensive, no?

  9. I’ve only eaten at 90 Acres and it sucked I can get a better meal at a diner or a pizzeria.

  10. You have to try Di Paolo’s Italian Ristorante in Penns Grove. Friday night buffet. About $100 each. There is great food in South Jersey.

  11. Houlihans in Bayonne (part of a chain) had an excellent young chef who made several of the dinners exceptionally well but it closed last year….insufficient revenue coming in.

  12. WELL THE AVERAGE FAMILY COULD GO TO ONE OF THESE PLACES MAYBE ONCE A YEAR 😂LOL !!! BECAUSE OUR DISTORTED DEFICIT DEBT DOLLAR IS ONLY WORTH FIVE CENTS AND THATS THE REAL INFLATION NUMBER!! SO A $500 DOLLAR BILL IS REALLY ONLY $25 DOLLARS. 💸 IN REAL MONEY!!! THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THINGS AFFORDABLE AGAIN IS TO BALANCE THE BUDGET WHICH THEY HAVEN’T DONE FOR 25 YEARS =INSANITY X 25 !!! WE CANNOT SPEND OUR WAY INTO PROSPERITY OBAMA , KAMALA AND BIDEN 😢!!!

  13. I’ve been to Jasper Stone. Newer place but was phenomenal. Red Horse by David Burke was meh. Also dined at NATIRAR and it’s next level

  14. The best food always comes out of your kitchen. You control the ingredients, your kitchen is probably cleaner than a commercial kitchen and there's no pressure if you serve it family style. I don't enjoy eating out anymore because food quality has gone down while prices have gone it.

  15. The AI narration is laughable. Everyone should automatically give thumbs down to any AI narration. The mispronunciations are ridiculous. Real crap.

  16. I am surprised that you didn’t mention Morimoto’s Omakase (Monclair) which is over $300.00 pp, personally I think it’s way better than MASA which is $950.00pp.

  17. I had heard that the Saddle River Inn was Richard Nixon’s go-to restaurant.

  18. The only one that looks even remotely good is Varka. The others look terrible accompanied by horrible decor. Thanks for reminding me to stay tf away from Jersey 😂

  19. I will be 70 in a week. I cry because there is no way I could finish those large steaks! Steaks always look terrifc.👍

  20. The mob bosses take out thing great times very cool 😎 great food ❤😂😂😂from America 🇺🇸 with love always 🇺🇸 😊
