Orange Julep in Montreal, specifically called Gibeau Orange Julep, is one of Montreal’s most iconic restaurants, if not one of Canada’s most iconic restaurants! It is a hot dog stand that sells all sorts of Canadian comfort foods. Montreal style hot dogs, what I hear is some of the best poutine in Montreal, if not some of the best poutine in Quebec, or some of the best poutine in Canada, and also they have a famous orange drink. The Orange Julep orange drink is extremely unique and unlike anything I’ve ever had before.

On my last day here in Montreal, where I was stranded after the blizzard on the US East coast, I got to hit up more staples in Montreal and I had a swell time. A Canadian fast food review was exactly what I had in mind, and definitely a good change of pace from steakhouses! A nice hearty poutine and hot dog sounded up my alley, also called a steamie in Montreal. Does Orange Julep make the best steamie in Montreal? Let’s find out!

  1. And this concludes the Montreal series! Don't worry, to all those who asked I made it back home safe and sound last week after the storm. But I had a truly wonderful time in Montreal and it was a blessing in disguise to have more time there. I always enjoy my trips to Canada and I will continue making trips there if you would like to see more Canadian content!

  2. Welcome to Canada, where they force us to use toxic paper straws since plastic ones are banned.

  3. Did anyone tell our brother the hot dog he had is not a steamed one ?😢 its the toasted hot dog! Great video and Julep food is to die for!

  4. Sorry UA but I think you’re trying to please that one viewer who encouraged you to go to Orange Julep. People just go there for the experience and the orange juice. Other than that most of us walk out of there regretting what we ate because there are many more places that make hotdogs, hamburgers and poutine WAY better. And for the price you pay you’ll definitely not going to return in a long time.

  5. Have you not ever had an orange Julius at a mall before? An orange Julius or orange whip is exactly what you just drank. It's made from OJ and milk, cream sugar and vanilla

  6. looks like you ordered a toasté (toasted ) bun as opposed to the classic steamé (steamed) hot dog bun

  7. That's not a real "steamE" bro. The bun was toasted. SteamE buns are crusted all round (and steamed not grilled or toasted) as opposed to the sliced bun that u had. Next time… maybe, but for now no steamE for you!

  8. You should try eating at Notre Boeuf de Grace, a well known and cultural restaurant all around the city of Montreal. It has all sorts of food but is known for the burgers. It's not too expensive as well and always has good vibes.

  9. Alfa Hot Dogs = Best poutine AND hot dogs
Mange Dans Mon Hood = Best smash burger
    Welldun Pizza = Best Pizza
Olive et Gourmando = Best EVERYTHING

Do those, forget about all the tourist traps. 👍

  10. That meal looks really good! I've never tried anything like that before but if ever given the chance I sure would!

  11. Orange Julep is basically similar to Orange Julius. Sadly i don't see any Orange Julius these days. I'm not sure if there's any left.

  12. Im from the west coast but i heard about this place like 15+ years ago when Georges St Pierre went there for the spagetti. Ever since i learned about that place ive wanted to go there… if i ever get an opportunity to visit Montreal i definitely will.

  13. 25buc for a Hot Dog Meal ? – I think NOT ( lol ) as far as Iconic – Myself have not spent a dime there in over 45years !
