Red Velvet Cherry Bombs

Sweet maraschino cherries wrapped up in red velvet cake and dipped in chocolate! Amazingly delicious and slightly addicting. Perfect for your Valentine sweetie! 😉

What you’ll need:
1 box red velvet cake mix (and ingredients to make the cake per directions)
1 jar pre-made cream cheese frosting
2 jars maraschino cherries, with stems (look in the ice cream topping section)
chocolate for dipping and drizzling

Make the red velvet cake according to the box instructions. Let cool completely. Crumble the cake into a large bowl and add cream cheese frosting. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Take 1 Tablespoon of cake/frosting mixture and roll into a ball. Flatten slightly and place a cherry in the center. Fold the cake mix to encapsulate the cherry, leaving the stem free. Continue with all the cherries or until you run out of cake/frosting mixture. Refrigerate 1-2 hours or until cold and firm.
Melt chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth. Coat the cherry bombs in chocolate and place onto a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Refrigerate until set. Makes about 40 cherry bombs. Enjoy!

Original idea came from a pic on pinterest. (One of the only things I’ve made from that site that actually tastes good. Stuff on there is made to look pretty with no consideration for what it tastes like.)
