$3 Falafel vs $400 Wagyu in Dubai 🇦🇪 I Took Chef Moon From Street Food to Luxury Dining

Today I invited Chef Moon to experience a side of Dubai he had never explored before.

We started with a street food journey tasting flavors loved by locals before heading to his fine-dining restaurant to experience Korean barbecue at its finest.

Our first stop was Al Rabia Falafel, one of the most popular Palestinian-Jordanian falafel spots in Dubai. Known for serving some of the best falafel in town, this was Chef Moon’s first time trying this style. We sampled several classics, and the freshness and flavors made an instant impression.

Next, we visited an Egyptian restaurant to try traditional favorites. Chef Moon experienced Egyptian feteer for the first time served with honey and Kraft cheese a sweet and savory combination he absolutely loved. We also tried the traditional Egyptian breakfast platter, a comforting spread full of rich flavors and textures.

After exploring street flavors, we headed to Chef Moon’s restaurant, HANU, located at St. Regis The Palm. HANU offers a refined Korean barbecue experience with premium meats and meticulous technique. Here, we enjoyed beautifully marbled cuts and high-quality beef, showcasing the elegance and precision of Korean fine dining in Dubai.
This experience perfectly captured Dubai’s diversity from humble street food to world-class culinary craftsmanship all in one day.
