What surprises me is when food is touched by worker. Guess what that food has been touched tested by chef and most people working inside the kitchen. Matter of fact is that foods ingredient has been touched, eaten by insects n etc. And I can reassure waiters hand must been cleaner then the customers bcuz they wash their hands. Take it from there. The truth is food is touched bcuz it needs to be cooked, plated, taste and served.
It annoys me that a server would even decide to touch the food when they have a utensil in their hand. I understand they were probably panicking once the pasta got stuck, but my goodness, just scoop it out or hand it over to the guest and let them do it if it's not going so well. Sure they paid for the service but the worst you could do is ruin their meal by grossing them out, washed hands or not, that's just not something you do, especially in front of the person who's about to eat the food lol
