My husband and I stopped buying meat from Aldi. We do most our shopping at Aldi and then get meat and special ingredients from a grocery store.
FYI how Trader Joe's gets so much stuff with their own branding. They cut deals with manufacturers of any item and say "hey, make us a cream cheese for this price." If they can do that they have the privilege to be the one single fresh cheese that is sold at every Trader Joe's. That could very well be Philadelphia/Kraft producing that fresh cheese just not with their branding on. Their win margin is way smaller but it's still there and if they don't do it, somebody else will. Now ofc Kraft doesn't want you to know they sell basically the same creme cheese as Philadelphia und a different branding at Trader Joe's, they want you to stick to the expensive brand stuff. That's why Trader Joe's is so intransparent with their sourcing. If you really dug deep you could find out for every product who it is that produces them but they won't make it obvious.
