Homemade Chaka with Herbs and Garlic #travel #cooking

Ingredients:

Chaka (natural fermented milk product, or plain yogurt/strained yogurt) – 500 g

Garlic – 2–3 cloves (adjust to taste)

Fresh herbs (dill, parsley, cilantro) – 50–70 g

Salt – to taste

Vegetable oil – 1–2 tablespoons (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the garlic: Peel and crush or finely grate the garlic.

Prepare the herbs: Wash, dry, and finely chop the fresh herbs.

Mix ingredients: In a bowl, combine chaka with garlic and herbs. Add salt to taste and optionally 1–2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Let it rest: Allow the mixture to sit 10–15 minutes so flavors blend.

Serve: Enjoy as a dip, sauce for meat, flatbreads, or fresh vegetables.

Tips:

For stronger garlic flavor, mix garlic with a pinch of salt and let it rest 5–10 minutes before adding.

For creamier texture, lightly whisk the chaka.
