Ghoroa style bhuna khichuri- Ingredients: Beef 1.5kg briskets cut in chunks. 2 large sliced onions 1 cup mustard oil For the khichuri moshla- 1tbsp cinnamon, 1tsp cloves, 1tsp cumin, 1tsp cardamom, 1tbsp bay leaves, 1/2 nutmeg, 1tsp mace. Dry roast them until fragrant. Grind into a coarse powder. Use 2tsp of that in the meat marinade. 2tbsp ginger and garlic paste 1tbsp chilli powder, 1tsp coriander powder, 1tsp cumin powder, 1tsp turmeric powder. Salt to taste. For khichuri-2 cups kalijeera rice, 1 cup moong daal, 1 cup musoor daal. Lots of green chillies!
Cooking method: in a large pot marinate the meat with onions, ginger garlic, all spices and generous amount of salt. Cook it on medium high flame for 15min and then add 1litre of hot water and cover and cook for 1.5hours on medium heat. Stirring often. Once the meat is tender, take them off(optional) and then add washed rice and lentils. Add fried onions, some turmeric, salt, green chillies and mix well. Add 6 cups of boiling hot water and cook on high heat until water evaporates. Put the heat down to the lowest, add back all the meat, add some more chillies and then cover and cook on dum for 20min! Serve hot with some salad and lemon! Enjoy ♥️
