Cabin air is about 50% recycled (after passing through HEPA filters), with the other half being fresh from outside. Cabin air is much healthier than in any air conditioned building.

This might explain why I only drink Sprite when flying. On the ground, I'd much rather have Coke, but, if flying reduces the effect of sugar, it would be like drinking a low/zero sugar Coke, which I hate.

i cannot imagine how hard it would be to design a menu to be both feasible and taste good and delivered in a quick manner on a plane. I have and always will give airlines the benefit of the doubt on this one.

So, basically everything you said about elevation doesn't apply in a plane.
Planes are pressurized.
The outside atmospheric coonditions have nothing to do with those inside the cabin.
No low pressure.
No lack of humidity due to low pressure.
No effect on taste or smell.
The only effect is that of climate control, same as most American homes.
