π‘ Dhokla Recipe (Gujarati Style)

β’ 1 cup gram flour (besan)
β’ 1 tbsp semolina (sooji) β optional (for extra texture)
β’ 1 tbsp lemon juice
β’ Salt to taste
β’ 1 tsp sugar
β’ 1 cup water (adjust as needed)
β’ 1 tsp Eno Fruit Salt
For Tempering:
β’ 2 tbsp oil
β’ 1 tsp mustard seeds
β’ 1 tsp sesame seeds
β’ 2 green chilies (slit)
β’ 8β10 curry leaves
β’ 1/2 cup water
β’ 1 tsp sugar
For Garnish:
β’ Fresh coriander leaves
β’ Grated coconut (optional)

Step 1: Prepare Batter
In a bowl, mix gram flour, semolina, salt, sugar .
Add water gradually and make a smooth, lump-free batter (not too thick, not too thin).

Step 2: Steam the Dhokla
β’ Grease a steaming tray or plate.
β’ Add Eno Fruit Salt to the batter and mix gently.
β’ Pour immediately into the tray.
β’ Steam for 15β20 minutes on medium flame.
β’ Check with a toothpickβif it comes out clean, itβs done.

Step 3: Prepare Tempering
β’ Heat oil in a pan.
β’ Add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, green chilies, and curry leaves.
β’ Add water and sugar, bring to a boil.

Step 4: Final Touch
β’ Cut dhokla into pieces.
β’ Pour tempering evenly over it.
β’ Garnish with coriander and coconut.
