The Apartment Block Restaurant FROZEN in the 1970s!
This is VLOG 8 of my series “No Hype Local Food Finds” where I discover the restaurant hidden in the basement of an apartment block that hasn’t changed since the 1970’s! The decor, menu, food and ownership is still the same as when it first opened.
New VLOG in this series out every Monday 4pm.

Brilliant video, perfect narration, positive vibes πππ
Omg this is wonderful, β€β€β€β€ I want to go..
I was drooling over the food..
Everything about this reminded me of being in Catering college in 1982, fantastic!.
Wonderful β€β€β€
Yes but more lettis and tomato
Thank you for a trip down memory lane π
Loved this restaurant and their food is superb especially the scallops and waiters and waitresses are so lovely and professional, nothing is too much. β€
Mash potatoes carrots
I worked in that style of place in 70s .Most restaurants in London would charge extra for bread/melba toast /brown bread and butter and the chocolates !!!! Lovely place !!! Lovely waitress!!!
I would be full up after the crudites, melba toast and prawn cocktail. That is really good selection for a fixed price menu, portions are immense! The fact that it is in a apartment block reminds me a bit of the J.G Ballard novel High-Rise, there isn't a posh supermarket on the next level is there?! Haha.
Add a splash of Worcester sauce in when making your seafood sauce, it makes all the difference
Slowly but surely becoming my favourite food vlogger on YouTube, and thatβs saying something considering GaryEats is superb too.
WOWZER, love it.
I burst out laughing when she brought MORE bread with the shrimp cocktail. Then, the potatoes were loaded on the plate. Yes. This was when restaurants wanted you to leave full. The French table service is icing on the cake here. ~A wonderful time warp.
π 50 pounds? For all that?? And amazing service??? This won't be a hidden gem for long.
We havent forgotten our old menus.
It is a great representation of the 70s. I miss those days.
What a place reminds me of my childhood
If youβre going back to the 70s itβs a veg plate. The portions are so big I would have been full after the shrimp .
2:46 LOL ,
I do but with friends ,,,,
She had to mention friends
Next.time, try their Creme Brulee.
CARB FACTORY
I was waiting for Rum Baba in the Dessert Menu….
Its not 70s without that!
This just highlights how the majority of restaurants give such poor service and quality but still expect the high price and tips, weβve gone backwards!!
Am going there looks amazing
Please do more restaurant vlogs. Sunday Roast and afternoon tea would be appreciated.β€β€π¨π¦
Excellent restaurant. I will definitely visit.
Would love to go. So unusual. Shame I'm too broke currently
