The Apartment Block Restaurant FROZEN in the 1970s!

This is VLOG 8 of my series “No Hype Local Food Finds” where I discover the restaurant hidden in the basement of an apartment block that hasn’t changed since the 1970’s! The decor, menu, food and ownership is still the same as when it first opened.

New VLOG in this series out every Monday 4pm.

  1. Great video Robbie, you had my mouth drooling with hunger. Lovely place with good old fashion service πŸ™‚πŸ‘

  2. Omg this is wonderful, ❀❀❀❀ I want to go..
I was drooling over the food..

  3. Loved this restaurant and their food is superb especially the scallops and waiters and waitresses are so lovely and professional, nothing is too much. ❀

  4. I worked in that style of place in 70s .Most restaurants in London would charge extra for bread/melba toast /brown bread and butter and the chocolates !!!! Lovely place !!! Lovely waitress!!!

  5. I would be full up after the crudites, melba toast and prawn cocktail. That is really good selection for a fixed price menu, portions are immense! The fact that it is in a apartment block reminds me a bit of the J.G Ballard novel High-Rise, there isn't a posh supermarket on the next level is there?! Haha.

  6. Slowly but surely becoming my favourite food vlogger on YouTube, and that’s saying something considering GaryEats is superb too.

  7. I burst out laughing when she brought MORE bread with the shrimp cocktail. Then, the potatoes were loaded on the plate. Yes. This was when restaurants wanted you to leave full. The French table service is icing on the cake here. ~A wonderful time warp.
😁 50 pounds? For all that?? And amazing service??? This won't be a hidden gem for long.

  8. If you’re going back to the 70s it’s a veg plate. The portions are so big I would have been full after the shrimp .

  9. This just highlights how the majority of restaurants give such poor service and quality but still expect the high price and tips, we’ve gone backwards!!

  10. Please do more restaurant vlogs. Sunday Roast and afternoon tea would be appreciated.β€β€πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
