I guess Pagi Sore needs to have an assistant to assist foreign guest like you to experience the best way to eat Nasi Padang 😄😄. Everyone has their own way and any ways is already super tasty, but we Indonesian usually have staple set : cassava leaves, jackfruit curry, and green chilli sambal + we pour the curry sauce into the rice. That's the staple nasi padang set, then you can pair it with any chicken, egg, meat or fish you like 🤗

Imo the beef in Indonesia is kind of hit or miss. Sometimes you get a tender rendang, but more often it’s chewy, even when it comes to steak.
It is expensive because 16k for rice alone at many small Nasi Padang you can get full meal like nasi rendang, nasi ayam for the same price.
Also, every Indonesian dishes must be eaten with rice to balance the flavor. Indonesians even eat noodles with rice.

Rendang itu dagingnya kaya mentah tp pas digigit mudah dikunyak dan kalo kematengan atau empuk itu tidak enak akan menganggu ketika makan si daging yang dikunyah akan nyempil di antara gigi itu sangat tidak nyaman . Rendang yg pas itu kelihatan keras tapi ketika dikunyah mudah ga alot . Itu rendang asli dan hitam pekat ❤

If you're looking for fancy and clean Padang Restaurant, Pagi Sore is definitely the place to go.. but if you're looking for a more authentic taste.. there's a lot of ceaper place to go, i can't recommend which, because there's lots of them in indonesia 😂
