Makhana Kheer Recipe
📝 Ingredients:
Makhana (Fox nuts) – 70 to 80 grams
Milk – 1.25 liter
Milk powder – 3 tablespoons
Sugar – as per taste
Desi ghee – 50 grams
Dry fruits (cashew, almond, raisins) – for garnishing
Method:
Heat desi ghee in a pan on medium flame. Add makhana and fry well until they become crunchy.
Once fried, let them cool slightly and then crush them lightly.
In another pan, boil 1.25 liter milk and reduce it to about 600 ml.
Add milk powder to the reduced milk and mix well.
Now add the crushed makhana to the milk.
Cook on medium flame for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add sugar as per your taste and mix well.
Garnish with dry fruits.
✨ Your delicious makhana kheer is ready to serve!
