THIS is Hiding at Boatwright’s Dining Hall
Just another day thinkin’ about this hidden gem at Disney World 👀🍽️
Boatwright’s at Port Orleans Riverside might just be one of the most underrated spots at Disney World ‼️ Here you’ll find comforting Southern-style dishes, and after this meal, we want to spread the good word! 👇
Let’s start with the real stars of the show… the POTATOES!! 🥔🧀 I’m not kidding, both the spiced smoked gouda potatoes and the bacon + cheddar mashed potatoes were absolutely unreal. Cheesy, buttery, a little crispy on top… honestly, you could build your whole meal around these and be happy 😂
We tried the shrimp pappardelle, which had a creamy garlic Chardonnay sauce with sun-dried tomatoes adding that bright pop of flavor. Not the most mind-blowing pasta we’ve ever had, but still a solid option if you’re craving something comforting! 🍝
We also grabbed the chimichurri grilled shrimp, and these were BIG. Like… surprisingly big shrimp 🤣 The chimichurri added a zesty, slightly spicy kick! 🍤🔥
And then… dessert. The peanut butter pie is a MUST. It’s light, mousse-y, crunchy, salty-sweet perfection with Oreo crumbs and candied peanuts. I would go back just for this alone! 🤤
We also tried the bourbon chocolate cake! 🍫🥃 This one was solid, but not the standout. It’s layered with milk chocolate mousse and coated in a thick, glossy dark chocolate ganache (which was RICH and delicious). The cake itself is super light and fluffy with a hint of bourbon, but almost too light for how tall it is… ours was literally starting to lean 😅 Still tasty, just not quite as memorable as the peanut butter pie!!
Plus, the service here was also incredible! The team is SO passionate about the new menu, and it really shows! 👏 If you’ve been sleeping on Boatwright’s, consider this your sign to change that ‼️‼️
