This is the perfect drink to celebrate winter evenings with a bunch of friends. Quick and easy to prepare – and so delicious!

Ingredients (8 servings)

1 lred wine (dry)
1orange
1lemon
100 gsugar
500 mlgrape juice
5cloves
1bay leaf
1 piecestar anise
10juniper berries
1 stickcinnamon

Vanilla crescent cookies
The warming spices in the mulled wine go hand in hand with the wonderful vanilla flavor of these small cookies.

Step 1

Warming mulled wine

Roughly chop orange and lemon.

1 orange / 1 lemon

Step 2

Warming mulled wine

Caramelize sugar in a large saucepan and deglaze with grape juice. Stir until caramel is dissolved.

100 g sugar / 500 ml grape juice

Step 3

Warming mulled wine

Add chopped citrus fruit, cloves, bay leaf, star anise, juniper berries, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil and let simmer over low heat for approx. 10 – 15 min.

5 cloves / 1 bay leaf / 1 piece star anise / 10 juniper berries / 1 stick cinnamon

Step 4

Warming mulled wine

Add red wine, gently warming it up for approx. 5 min. Do not boil, as this would burn off the alcohol in the wine.

Remove spices from mulled wine if desired. Serve hot.
