I want to go to the gym and do some workout and swim um what what floor is it on it’s not we don’t have one in the building there’s one right over there yeah over where right over here like down this street it’s like a wreck Center so I have to go out the hotel [ __ ] this no chance this a ridiculous s that a hotel this size with no gym on site it’s just another example of Vander and Rea forgetting who’s most important around here hey good morning good morning that’s a little catchup hopefully today I can finally get through to them good morning these are some of your guests all I’d like to hear is just nothing but the plain truth and give these owners an insight to what you’re paying for so let’s start with yours um I’ll tell you that the uh room was very disappointing we look for historic buildings when we go places and and this was just a shame it was like it was neglected it was run down to the ground before we purchased this place and years for 10 years you got to stop blaming people Madam please can you give us Insight your experience well when we came in we actually came in the back way this dark hallway where AE there’s yeah a dungeon yeah I ended that way I mean it was like coming through an entrance to a prison yeah Madam please I have severe asthma and allergies dusting the top of the doorways and just caked in white dust and oh my God it went beyond a comfort issue this went to a health hazard issue I was literally worried about my fiance’s safety the last thing this place needs is some kind of you know wrongful death liability oh gosh would any of you come back to stay here absolutely not not one of you thank you thank you guys take care thank you I’m so sorry the complaints from guest are obvious things that a hotel owner should be taken care of but these girls haven’t got a clue or a general manager do you honestly think that you are capable of running this hotel when I want something bad enough and when I have my mind up to it I always I always accomplish at 32 years of age tell me one thing that you’ve accomplished in your life on your own I worked when I was 14 at a fast food place are you serious you want me to get impressed with that no I but I’m just saying Vanda do you honestly think that you and your big sister are capable of running this hotel I want to say yes but I just my head says no I feel like a knife has just been running to my heart but I can run this place by myself you have to be honest with yourself I think we can make it with the positive reinforcement that I use I would ship myself asking you to run my dog up the hill let alone a hotel before my first night sleeping at the river rock in in Milford Pennsylvania I decided to check it out with my black light to make sure there was nothing I wasn’t seeing and I was appalled to discover a vast spread of bodily fluid stains has this thing ever been washed people pay to sleep in this bed un [ __ ] believable there is no way I’m sleeping on these sheets tonight luckily I came [Music] prepared oh [ __ ] I forgot to turn off the lights [Music] oh man that was rough hopefully a sh will wash away the memory of those awful stains [ __ ] look at this thing [ __ ] me it’s like being in Danny DeVito’s house a shower come on I feel dirtier now than I did before I got in here [ __ ] that’s freeing I don’t think the staff or the owner have any idea how revolting it is to be a guest here I want you to come upstairs with me I want to show you something place all of you time for a wakeup call good morning good morning these are the guests that have been staying in the hotel now you’ve all experienced over the last 24 hours a sleepover and what I’m here to do is to help fix this place I can’t do it without feedback my biggest complaint was this morning when I took a shower um I had water up to my ankles before I got out my shower head I probably showered from here down cuz the shower head hit me about here there was like bugs on the floor and then I was sitting on the bed and then I saw a bug on the door too I have back problems and this morning it was really hard to get out of bed um just cuz you could feel the Springs the big question for me is that on the back of last night’s experience who would stay here again a little raise of hands I probably wouldn’t come to stay again really no [Music] one thank you very much indeed thank you thank you I hope Ken is starting to see how his lack of effort at the Inn is driving guest away there’s one more thing I want to show him if this doesn’t wake him up nothing will I’m going to show you something that is pretty horrific come in uh just stand over there please please save me glasses on brace yourself [Music] Karen oh my goodness I’m disgusting it’s awful I don’t even like to think of what I’m even looking at it’s like a [ __ ] Galaxy this is foul absolutely foul I’m sh shocked a little but it’s disgusting it’s truly disgusting the seeing this makes me sick to my stomach oh dear I don’t know what to say I mean I’m just it it’s a horror show it was horrifying I was thinking how many times have this room even been rented without being cleaned for all that to be there Ken you’re running a [ __ ] hotel not a brothel it is [ __ ] disgusting start taking responsibility and what’s this hot pads handmade hot pads mhm is that $60 who buys this people with children I hope people with children that’s full of dust inside well you have to wash it before you use it look and what’s this this is Sarah’s Journal so she keeps a journal yeah wow so it’s uh it’s almost like a novel it is and she puts sermon nodes and telephone numbers and prices and she calls it her brain public bathroom decorate with baskets yeah she decorated the baskets up in my washroom oh oh dear okay wow so um all right what’s that there that is a bottle holder you can put like a water bottle in it so it does appeal to my I thought it was a j strap do you know what you know it could it looks like a j strap I hadn’t thought of that but you got a point what’s that down there that’s our bread and then behind that that is a closet where our potatoes are kept but are the are the loaves for sale too if someone asks for them and hikers do sometime but normally it’s um it’s just for the breakfast we have toast are you expecting a lot of people that’s how much we go through in a few days believe or not really unfortunately they’re out of date as well well couldn’t are you serious 2nd of November okay you’re right today’s the sixth oh that’s very embarrassing yeah let’s go to my uh my room what is that oh these are my famous baskets baskets yeah I love baskets and I collect them beautiful baskets for sale prices vary from $1 to $30 stop it $30 man some of them are very unique you’re telling me that families come in here and they go for a hike and they buy these baskets on the way mhm to the mountains mhm stop this one’s full of bugs I guess I wouldn’t buy that one would you $12 mhm and that’s with the Cockroaches we don’t charge extra wow that was $12.99 it’s reduced down to $5 oh bugs in there as well bloody hell did you get them as gifts and then resell them uh no I just buy them when I find them places I the hell is that it’s an Easter basket that’s an Easter basket [ __ ] hell poor bunny and how much is that $1 y wow can you go any lower nope huh we don’t deal in cents a Karen you’re starting to scare me seriously you are a basket case that’s a good point honestly there’s dust everywhere up here as well when was the last time this place was dusted uh theoretically every day every oh every day yeah this is my room named after the river river wow bloody hell oh dear and this is it wow uh wow we have five rooms this one is 130 oh oh [ __ ] what what happened there you’re taller than I am see how he just lays up there on the on top of the no see there you go the pole is too short my darling look so see there you go look that’s there and know this has been here since 2007 and it’s never fallen down oh ready flip it now okay oh oh [ __ ] okay let’s leave them there for now let’s get some light in here okay I’m going to unpack and Y that’s private what do you mean it’s private but this is my bedroom uh well but this is off limits it’s got a lock on it it’s like a storage closet but if I’m paying for the room I’d like to get into my wardrobe well you’re not paying for that you’re paying for everything else well then really we’ve got these little things you can put your suitcase on but what’s in here my clothes your clothes M seriously seriously it’s very inconvenient when there are people here and I can’t get to my clothes but I live with it um I want to hang my clothes if it was up to me I’d say Philip you can’t drink in here because if something happens to you take out a family of four they’re coming after me in my family and I don’t have any money to to afford a lawyer to keep me out of jail for the rest of my life they are telling you the truth cuz they freaking care unfortunately you’re not telling the truth and that’s why this business is struggling this ship is on a collision course can I show you something I think you should all see come with [Music] me I think everybody’s forgotten what it’s like for guests to stay in this hotel then April how much is this room $250 a night Friday and Saturday is $180 the rest of the week let me show you what $250 gets you at the Monte cell turn the lights out you see that this black light shows up bodily fluids that’s exactly what you’re see disgusting I wouldn’t want to lay on that bed where these mattresses come from philli the house in Arizona your house yes wow those two holes there that’s cigarette holes uhoh Burns watch out everybody don’t touch there oh she I was totally grossed out when I seen that bed it was sick $250 to sleep in Phil oh my God Philip Seaman right there is everywhere does that make anybody else feel sick yeah cuzz right now I am [ __ ] disgusted by this foul polluted bed I felt dirty I’m a clean person was disgusting I don’t know why you’re running a hotel you’re just ripping people off we don’t care for the customers and you don’t care for your staff who do you care for I care about my staff the first thing you said to me when I arrived here philli what’s the problem staff they had bleeding the clock huh no way that’s what you told me I’ve got half it Wroten down at home where I put at least 100 hours free in here we will come in an hour 2 hours early not punch in and then we will work late to get what we need to get done you have an estate to the tune of 10 [ __ ] million dollar and a chef that puts 100 hours in for nothing or is he lying he’s not lying he’s here all the time I’m surprised you guys are here I’m the only earner for my family and I make 500 bucks every two weeks this is [ __ ] crazy and you rock up here with a plate with Hotel H what the [ __ ] is going on these guys are your bread and butter your [ __ ] backbone but they’re terrified to tell you the truth can’t keep on cutting corners and humiliating them because they’re the problem the fact that it’s not busy look within it starts from the [ __ ] top amen yeah could you just excuse me and leave me here on my own with Phil thank you now can you [ __ ] your man up I don’t have all the answers Gordon I’m trying give me one [ __ ] answer give me something you’re abusing your staff what kind of message do it send to them when you fill the car par with classic cars and they’re [ __ ] struggling J it’s fair do I think it’s fair no no do they deserve better of course why are you doing it I don’t have an answer for that I don’t know why I’m doing that go for me leave me alone get the [ __ ] out of here I just tasted the food at the Cambridge Hotel and it was awful I think it’s because the chef is lazy but he’s adamant he’s not that menu stinks of laziness I’m not not La I’m here 80 990 hours a week yeah you can’t call yourself an executive chef come on do you know it’s store board I did why would you employ a chef that 2/3 of the menu is store board I I think Gordon believes that I’m incompetent in running a hotel but what I’m doing is right your hotel became famous for this apple pie right and this is the dish that is trying to stop your house being put up for sale to keep this place going but I’m just what I’m trying to say is that so many Basics wrong I could [ __ ] cry I could seriously cry I could cry too and look at the apples look the apples are raw not even baked and I could scream when I see that this this was invented here and there’s thousands of restaurants across the globe that have copied what you originated have you any idea how lucky you are and it resolves to that soggy undercooked soaking wet piss pie can I have a quick word with you for two seconds please I’m struggling to understand what’s going on here I need to hear a woman’s perspective John is smart in what he does as a lawyer MH he’s awful here I can’t get it in his head but between the two of them they’re about to take your [ __ ] house down him and John go back and forth when I give suggestions it’s pretty much you know and then it’s pushed aside and then John it’s making decisions you’re about to lose your house I know and he says we are going until I haven’t got enough another Penny to put in it he’s never run a business before no no and he’s never done anything in his life but be a lawyer and a soldier that is it he may have won lots of battles but he’s [ __ ] definitely losing this war let me tell you finally a stranger is seeing what I’ve been seeing and I’m hoping that JN is going to take something from this and either we’re going to make it go or we’re going to shut it [Music] up I’ve seen about as much as I can stand at this the outdated rooms the cheap Linens and the prepackaged food how have things got this bad I’ve got to get some answers what’s wrong with this place and who’s to blame problem is here is that we have to ask to do something we’re not allowed to make a decision we’re not all to make a general manager executive chef we have to run everything through John make sure everything make decision a lawyer so why do you have to ask someone that doesn’t know how to run a [ __ ] bath let alone hotel but he took over more control that’s put up my hands okay you want to run it you run it it’s [ __ ] soulless it’s littered with [ __ ] antiques that are broken it’s got horrendous pictures all over the [ __ ] place disgusting rooms food that comes out of a [ __ ] bag I I don’t control any of that stuff I’m not making decisions I told Rich that I thought we should cut our food cost have you got the respect from the owners to do your job properly yes or no no I have Absol you I definitely do not make the decisions that I think I should be able to though as she’s telling you that and that’s what the problem is it’s not the [ __ ] ghost John that’s scaring the regulars away it’s you
