Chocolate Crescent Pastry – Our version of a French classic! Super Easy! Bonjour!
Chocolate Crescent Pastry
8 ounce tube Crescent Dough Sheet
7.56 ounce Giant Hershey’s milk chocolate candy bar
1 egg
1 Tablespoon water
powdered sugar, optional for dusting
melted chocolate for drizzling, optional
Preheat oven to 400°.
Unroll Crescent Dough Sheet and form into a rectangle if any edges aren’t straight. Cut the dough sheet in half horizontally and vertically making four smaller rectangles. Cut four or five short slits across the center of each rectangle.
Break the chocolate candy bar into five equal strips. Place one strip of chocolate across the center of each of the four rectangles of dough, laying the chocolate across the slits you cut into the dough. Fold one side of the dough over the chocolate candy bar, and then fold the other side of the dough on top of that.
Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet with the seam side down and the slits in the dough facing up. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes or just until the crescent dough is lightly golden on top.
Dust the top of each pastry with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate chips, if desired.
These may be served warm or at room temperature.

A redneck in Paris, LOL. I thought that was cute and funny. It gave me a chuckle, lol. Tom should patent that saying. Great recipe & video thumbs up. Stay warm and safe, guys. God bless you.
This board is no longer available at Macy's but I found one on Amazon… Bethany Housewares Pastry Board and Coth set for $35.36… 4.7 rating out of 631 people…
Hershey chocolate are good and with almonds
Arby's use to sell them and we would buy them and bring them home and warm them in the microwave. I loveeee them. So thanks for doing them.
The Kroger bakery make the croissant version but these look so much better 😊
I love that you all have some simple recipes. Sometimes I don't mind making a more complicated recipe but sometimes it's so much fun to just make something simple. Proud of my fellow Kentuckians! 🙂 Great channel. I bought your cookbook!
Thank you for another delicious and easy recipe. Will definitely be making these. Please stay safe during this snow and ice storm. God Bless Bless.
Yummmmmyyyyyy!
MMM, these look so good. I thought about puff pastry like the other commenter did. They have got to be good with Hershey Chocolate. I will have to look for the Crescent Pastry next time at the store after this ice storm. I will be so glad when spring gets here. I would rather have snow than a ice storm and lose power…but it could be worse. I am sure we will lose power and that is not fun for anyone in the winter when it is so cold. I saw a bunch of crew trucks at Walmart when I had to make a run to Lowe's tonight. The power crews have a hard job, Bless their hearts. Praying for everyone in the path of this storm.
That would be a great treat Tom and Melissa, thanks for sharing with us. I want you two to know I made the "CORN PUDDING" you last shared with us and it turned out wonderful. Thanks again. Fred and family.
Will be making these for sure. I am going to make them with Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate bar. Praying everyone stays safe during the storm. Blessings.
I see you have some Hershey chocolate left over, please send that to me. We don't want to waste anything. 😂
Hello Tom and Melissa!
Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. It doesn't get any easier than this. Wow. This is Kim from Ohio. Have an amazing weekend ❤️
I can't wait to make these!!
If you serve at room temperature, is the chocolate hard?
In my neck of the woods we call them “Fried Candy Bars.” I use flour tortillas, fold the Hershey bar inside envelope style, freeze them. After they are frozen and still frozen, I fry them in a skillet with a little oil. After browning, I dust with powdered sugar. Yum!
Hi, Tom and Melissa.Well, I think this is something I can make with my granddaughter She is 10 ❤
It looks so easy for her to do.
Thanks For Sharing❤
I can even use fruit or white chocolate
