Have you ever eaten thirteen hundred feet above the ground? This was the most spectacular restaurant in New York City. Windows on the World A legendary restaurant on the 106th and 107th floors of the World Trade Center. From here, you could see all of Manhattan, the ocean, and even neighboring states. Breakfast in the clouds. Dinner above the city. And a bar called The Greatest Bar on Earth. It opened in 1976 and became a symbol of luxury and height, literally. On September 11, 2001, it disappeared with the towers. But Windows on the World will always remain a New York legend.
