“Most Restaurants Will Be OUT OF BUSINESS in The Next 5 Years”
Restaurants across the country are facing bankruptcy and enclosure due to the operating cost rising tremendously, shrinking profits and broke customers no longer patronizing the business. This is the kiss of death for the restaurant industry, and most restaurants will likely be out of business in the next five years.

Thanks Trump
Great discussion. However, not enough attention to sky high tips. It really gripes me when I think about the suggested tip for people simply take an order and deliver food (on top of their wages). Total rip-off.
It's the expectation of a 20% minimum tip keeping us from dining out.
I calculated the percentage increase in prices in the U.S. vs in Ecuador. And it's 450% more at a minimum. Some items are higher. Example= 400 gram ribeye steak dinner = $16.00. Due to consolidation of companies, no competition, prices in the U.S. are outrageous. Boarders on mafia extortion with no government regulation. Ecuador regulates the prices on food. The U.S. does NOT.
No grass/pasture raised meat, non organic vegetables ( doubt they even wash the pesticides off the vegetables properly), they cook with seed oils, etc. Why in the world would I want to spend my money on this garbage.
You are under 40? You look around 55 years old!
Nobody with 2 braincells to rub together is paying over $35 for a stake, and that's why they will go out of business. Fun fact, we ship all our beef out of country, do then they buy it back at a higher rate. I know this for facts
The expensive drinks is just greed, those places can go out of business
Never go to a restaurant that hasn't been busy. You'll get expired food that they froze. It won't be fresh. I don't wanna hear the excuses on beef prices. Check out Mission BBQ. You get huge portions for a reasonable price. These types of places are the way. Restaurants are lying. They need to reinvent themselves but they are carrying on trying to keep their heads above water.
Rarely do we go out to eat. Rarely. Been doing this for years. No regrets.
My husband and i went out to dinner at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers last weekend. For just us – 1 burger each and 1 beer each, 60 something dollars before tip!!! Never again. Insane. We just signed up for Home Chef for 4 meals a week so we can cook at home. It is affordable if we split the cost
Very accurate video. Love your videos
Here in Latvia we have second Michelin star restaurant closing this year. People don't spend anymore.
Recent trip to Miami and every restaurant and coffee shop I went to put an automatic 18% to 20% service fee even if I was by myself. That's something I normally see for parties of six or more but adding that to a one-person bill I think is excessive and then still adding a line on the bill for the tip
Mcdonalds is not good, its not cheap, and the overall experience had degraded. Im not using their spyware app, its a joke to pay cash in the store, and i hate ordering on a kiosk. Asking tens of thousands of franchisee’s the renovate their stores right now equals disaster as many have seen same store foot traffic decrease or remain flat for years now(not every location, but many). To add a mandatory store refresh will be the knock out punch. I think local diners still bring the best value, at least where I live. You are also keeping your money local.
I hope they all fail. Start over with better cheaper solutions
I raise cattle here in Kentucky, we are actually making money as opposed to pre pandemic , we were losing everytime we took cattle to sale, and you are correct there is a shortage of beef in US. As far as grass fed beef goes, it may be healthier but adding grain to their diet especially 60 days before slaughter help add flavor to their beef.
Restaurants and fast food places are full here in Florida. And they keep building them everywhere.
Maybe LA is diff… still 1-2 hr wait if no reservations
Gotta call B.S. on the $25…why even open a restaurant?
