I am a bit surprised that you didn't go to Guangzhou in China as it is the home of "Canton" (The old name of the city) and Cantonese cuisine is very prominent there. In fact, Chinese cuisine is subdivided into the eight major cuisines and you only went to two places (one of which is listed under the eight major cuisines).
