  1. What surprised me in this video is seeing a Thai chef making Isan “Crying Tiger” in a Japanese restaurant, and a Korean chef at a place called Santi—which sounds like a Thai name meaning “peace.” At first, I thought it was a Thai restaurant.

  2. What I've experienced is that Hue's food tends to use a lot more flavorings, and you can literally taste the difference between other regions. I'd tried many noodles from the south, only some of them had the flavor somewhat close to Hue

  3. As a Filipino who isn’t a fan of Kare-kare, I’d go with Caldereta, Bulalo, and Bistek as my top Filipino beef dishes.

  4. downvoted this video for featuring a bogus video clip of a dude using expensive meat instead of the title's CHEAP beef. Clickbait!

  5. There should be a video on how to eat some Filipino dishes like kare-kare and halo-halo.

  6. Vietnamese: warm, hearty
    Thai: quick, easy
Korean: "affordable" lmao, also don't forget olive oil, and olive oil
    Chinese: simple, ample
    Filipino: rich, flavorful

  7. NAKS is such a Filipino name for a restaurant. And by that I mean a lot of Filipino restaurants try to get fancy with it or use easily identifiable iconography for their names, but "naks" is an unpretentious, quintessentially Filipino term that people say just to show that they're impressed by something. It's like saying "YOOOO" or "DAMN" when something is really that good.

  8. As a Filipino, was kind of hoping they would do another dish other than kare kare or sinigang or adobo.
