In this week’s episode we’re at Fraschetta La Romanella in Rome, Italy attempting to do what only one person has ever done before…beat their legendary pasta challenge…
Intrepid pasta lovers get just 45 minutes in which to sink 1.5kg of pasta of their choice…be it spaghetti, carbonara, amatriciana…whatever tickles your fancy…now that my sound like a doddle but remember; 1.5kg is just the dry pasta weight and does not account for the water absorbed during cooking, the toppings, the cheese or the sauce…which in this case contained about thirty eggs…
If you can get it down, not only do you get the €60 meal FREE but you get a t-shirt, a hat, a key ring and most importantly, a very cool looking trophy!

The place seems not to be for tourists, so it's so nice, how locals react. I've been to Italy a few times and people there were super nice and friendly, mostly outside tourist places.
