  1. Yeah eating wagyu raw was definitely kinda sus. Taste great when cooked but raw? I dont know about that. Fish works better raw due to the meat texture, I cant see beef giving the same experience.

  2. 3:40 those million dollar tunas are first tuna of the year. prices driven up for luck. not typical throughout the year prices.

  3. I don't think the paint brushing is that bad. I've done worse. I give it a 4 out of 10 instead of 1.

  4. i would love to visit but omg so scared of how expensive it might be for 2 adults and a toddler with all of us being foodies LOL love love love Japan! <3

  5. Guga, you crack me up. "If you watch anime you'll know this: onigiri!" anime has ALL of the food you've eaten today 🤣 still, I'm glad you enjoyed a lot of what you ate and I'm jealous of you eating sushi from Tsukiji market!!

I've only had these foods in the USA and Thailand but I love all of them, Yakisoba might be my least favorite but it's still delicious

  6. When I was 15 and an exchange student in Japan, my host mother asked how many onigiri I wanted for lunch. I confidently said five, assuming that sounded reasonable, especially since I biked three miles each way to school every day. She was horrified. Apparently, her son only ate two. Five onigiri later, I learned an important lesson: I was still starving. Every. Single. Day. I was a wrestler at the time, and without enough protein, I actually started losing muscle. I had no fat reserves, no backup plan, and no mercy from the lunch portions.
Moral of the story: if you’re raised on a Western diet and sent to Japan as a teenage athlete, bring extra cash. You’ll need it, for beef, protein, second dinners, and survival.

  7. No nattō? That’s seriously traditional. I think it’s mostly a breakfast food, and not everyone eats it.

  8. Good ramen choice! I love tonkotsu. I've never been to Japan, and there aren't many Japanese restaurants around me, but I usually order salmon with that thick miso/teriyaki glaze.

  9. Spicy miso ramen is one of the favorites, just too much sodium and carbs lol.
If I eat it even if it's alot, it will just cause me to crave more carbs. Have to give it up I think.

  10. Guga, as often as you go to Japan are you ever going to go to Ribera Steakhouse? It's a hotspot for contact sports athletes. See if you can score yourself one of their legendary jackets!

  11. Best yakitori I ever had was from this one elderly gent's broken down van in Atsugi. He converted it into a little yakitori stand and, yes, he did use charcoal! So damn good.

  12. Is there a food delivery service that gets all the raw items to the restaurants? I mean, there's so many eateries packed into these buildings. Every convenience store and grocery store has all these premade dishes…I wonder about the vast network of food delivery. It's invisible, but pervasive enough to support a tightly packed culture that is constantly eating on the go. I honestly find it kind of sus.

  13. I'd say your calligraphy skills are better than a 1/10. I'd say more like a 4.5/10.

  14. I agree with you that the fried noodles aren't my favorite. They might be better if you're drunk, but I think they're yaki soba.

  15. Common GUGA do something exciting, people have tired watching you trying wagyu, sushi in Japan. Go to some challenging places like India, where you will be surprised by experiencing the varieties of food there. Don't limit your experiments to steak only, bring it in your life too….

  16. If I ever go to Japan, I might need to pay for an extra seat to return home. I would end up weighing 875 pounds with all the food they have there. 😅
