Went to Katz’s last year. $35 for a pastrami sandwich, plus $12 for fries and potato salad. It was good, but over priced

Before people cry about the sandwich prices, brisket sells for $25 to $40 a pound at a BBQ restaurant. If you want a cheap sandwich, bologna and american cheese.
Being British, whenever I hear “corned beef” I think of weird congealed meat from a tin eaten during the second world war. That’s a salt beef sandwich they’re having
