Cooking Against Each Other’s Mums… It Was Dangerous

We’re taking on the ultimate pressure test: recreating each other’s mum’s home-cooked dishes… without offending them.

Each of us brought in a dish made by our own mum – food we’ve grown up with, know inside-out, and absolutely should not mess up. We then swapped dishes and had to recreate them in a cook-off using only taste and appearance as our guide.
No recipes.
No instructions.
And very high emotional stakes.
How close can we get to the originals? And more importantly… will our mums approve?

We’ve done this before – but with just as much risk!

  1. I appreciate that the normals continue to mess up the pull-through mayo video after video. I too can't seem to get one to work. Do I not need a yolk? I thought I did! 😅

  2. Jamie helping himself to a beer at age 3 is the most Jamie thing I've ever heard. It should be shocking to find out that a 3 year old drank beer, but no actually this explains a lot.

  3. next up for the normals their mother in law. But first a chefs edition with their mums (good luck whoever gets Kushes mom)

  4. I would love to see their father’s dish or a sibling dish (if they have one). Both of the swap dishes videos are fun to watch

  5. Yours Shorts… That's what happens when we talk about your mum. 😅 shots fired, having a a few close friends these guys are tight..

  6. How have these lads been doing this channel for over a decade and still don't understand how to make a mayonnaise??? It's funny but painful every-time ! 😉

  7. I wonder guys, do you guys pay your mums for a "guest appearance" or something or are they just helping out out of the goodness of their hearts?

  8. Is Mike's mom from Wisconsin? That is the most Midwestern dish I have literally ever heard and I have spent 42 years living in Illinois! I know some Midwestern food! I'm sure my neighbors fed that to me a few times against my will. I don't like tuna unless it's raw.

  9. I wonder how it would work if the mum's got to watch the boys doing a pass itbon and coukd stop them and step in when they thought it was going off the rails…I can just hear them chastising the guys…😂

  10. Next time, don’t give them what they need.. let them shop for a musroom sauce… would be great to see them realise of was made with a can of soup.

  11. Speaking of mum jokes, the straight faces and lack of response to what Jamie says about his mum at 19:31 feels like a huge letdown. You can't tell me Ebbers' brain wasn't screaming "WE ALL KNOW SHE DOES, J"

  12. What are the roasting dishes they use? The white ones. I see other chefs using them and they look handy and I wouldn't mind getting some.

  13. Might do that salmon for the kids. It looks brilliant. The microwave cake is cool as well, and pasta bakes like that (minus the chips) is a classic mid week when I was growing up.

  14. Love this. Had to go and make golden syrup pudding (my Granny's microwave steamed treacle pudding recipe) after watching.
