Inside Vietnam’s First Korean Fine Dining Restaurant

Yes, I would absolutely do this again🤤. After Vietnamese cuisine, Korean food is my greatest food love, so experiencing the first Korean fine dining restaurant in Vietnam, led by the young, talented, and humble Chef Joon, felt genuinely special.

This menu revealed a side of Korean cuisine that feels deeply personal to me, refined yet comforting, balanced, delicate, and surprisingly familiar through its connection to Vietnamese flavors. The thoughtful use of Vietnam’s finest local ingredients added another layer of meaning to every dish. Exceptional service elevated the entire experience, alongside one of the best wine pairings I have encountered in fine dining in Vietnam.

If you are looking for something memorable in Hanoi, this is it. I will never forget the abalone uni porridge, it tasted like a hug from a mother, not a Vietnamese mother, but a Korean umma.

  1. I don't recognize any of the dishes as being Korean. However, they look interesting, and I would love to try them. Kudos to the chef's mom for inspiring him.
