He’s not wrong! A special omakase experience or any high-end sushi restaurant where the fish is imported and superb quality— truly divine. Or if you can get over to Japan. Most of us can’t lol
But the massive demand for seafood with the sushi/poke popularity boom has led to a real decline in overall quality. Idk if anyone has heard the rumors about the accessible calamari served at our local mom & pop shops, but it’s not great lol.
