British Biang Biang Noodles is Weird?

Only for 1 month, Dream Xian will be selling a British-Chinese dish Banger & Mash Biang Biang noodles. I feel like it is very British and the same time very Chinese.

It is mix of sausages with mashed potato and instead of onion gravy, we are using Chili Oil, garlic, soy sauce and more as a gravy. And I though it was an unusual combination, but the mash soaks so well with the oil and sticks on the noodles so well and it was a flavour bomb.

As a special it will be £9.99 from Feb 15th 2026 – March 14th

If you get the chance, watch Guirong Wei’s episode of Chef’s Table: Noodle. It’s a rare look at what the “British Dream” can actually look like. She was a woman who was one of the few female chefs in China, who built a Xi’an restaurant in London long before most people here knew what Shaanxi food even was.
