What 15+ Courses at 2 Michelin Star Restaurant Looks Like
We were invited to experience Restaurant A in Taipei, a two-Michelin-star restaurant led by Chef Alain Huang, whose cooking blends French fine dining with Asian influences and techniques.
Spanning over 15 courses, this dinner felt like a culinary expedition where our taste buds traveled far and wide. There were unexpected combinations, playful twists, and flavors that kept evolving with every bite. Cooking like this honestly feels like sorcery. The kind I wish I could master myself! Alas, I enjoy eating more than cooking 😂
Earlier that day, Chef Alain takes us on a market tour. We explore local ingredients and watch him select items that would later appear in dinner service, including a few spontaneous additions that made the experience feel even more personal and exciting. We meet other chef-owners (and their supportive partners) whose restaurants we’ll be visiting in upcoming videos. We share casual conversations and I couldn’t help but ask my favorite chef question: “Do you enjoy cooking at home?”
