hi im pretty good at survival and what u want to do is chunk base (i dont rcomend bc its cheating) or you want to go to open trrain and run around there and make sure u arent in a bassalt, crimson forest or warped forest i hoped it help o yea to use chunkbase just find ur seed java command is /seed and bedrock u can see on the world settings thx
Grab a fishing Rod and a warped fungus (the blue nether mushroom), put them in a crafting table and find a strider put a saddle in him and now you can Ride him to walk on lava its way faster than walking
Nether wastes is easiest cuz u can see more and just run in a line because they spawn in these areas with a 40 percent chance. Also, if you can handle traversing it, basalt deltas are the best biome to find them in. Take your pick and keep trying!

Nether structures spawn in quadrants of 368 by 368 and I believe only a nether fortress or a bastion can spawn in each quadrant, but since bastions can't spawn in basalt biomes I recommend staying in a basalt biomes if you are really struggling to find a fortress
just go to the nether man and before you do that make gold armor the best piece is the boots so make gold boots and go into the nether and get iron and diamond armor first helmet:diamond/iron chestplate:diamond/iron leggings:diamond/iron boots:gold (if your going into the nether) and i play mincraft for 6 years now =D

1. look in quadrants, then nether is broken up into big squares and each one has a chance to spawn a fortress or bastion. If you see a bastion then you know then you know there is not a fortress nearby.
2. Use the entity counter in F3(Its not the pie chart). When you hit F3 there should be something on the left side that has a "E" followed by a number/number. this shows how many mobs are loaded so if you look in a direction and there is a spike in the number there is a structure that way.
3. Get Gud. No really, you said you died a bunch of times,. Have a hotkey set to blocks and just run away and build up or block yourself in when your about to die(A lava bucked helps a lot for clearing hoglins, piglins, and piglin brutes)
Ok I got no tips for you on how to find a nether fortress but I’ve been playing for like a good 7-8 years and here is something useful at least just keep going until you find it! Also btw you should really make a Minecraft series
I suggest using chunkbase to find the cords of different structures. Some people do see chunkbase as cheating but if u just want to have fun without stressing out abt structures then it can be rly helpful

Lowk dude, just start running around in the nether until you find one, or build another portal for a better spawn to find the fortress

The way to find another forces is a basalt Delta because bastians can't Spawn in deltas so a fortress will take its place

just use map finder, paste in your seed and it will give coordinates to to a nether fortress.
I swear every time I light a nether portal in Minecraft there a nether fortress right in front of it
