  1. This is exactly how I've been making myself chicken parm for the last 10+ years of my life. I've been around since that original video, and the first thing I looked for when this video started were those croutons on top!

  2. Just watched on silent with subtitles….I read it in your voice Chef John. I couldn’t read it in my head voice. You are the James Joyce in my head voice!

  3. I fully support "for one" or even "for two" recipes! I regularly make large recipes and have tons of leftovers, but sometimes it is really nice to have just one or two servings to get through instead of six, eight, fifteen…

  4. Would like more cooking for one recipes. Many recipes call for half a vegetable. Would like more strategies to use up the other half so we aren't wasting food and money.

  5. Wonderful! As a single woman who loves to cook, I really appreciate the recipe for one concept! Downsizing recipes for 8 is always confusing. Love this idea, more please!

  6. bangs head against the fridge Thank you for taking the obvious, yet simple beloved recipe, which I have overcomolicated throughout the years.

  7. I’m making this immediately. I would love to see some more recipes for one. That’s a major reason that I don’t bother with anything other than ‘simple’ most nights, but this is perfect. Doing small casserole dish bake-able dinners of all types is a great idea.

  8. 1:46 I wish he would have explained why to use low moisture – for a legit reason that could impact the cooking time or end result etc, or just his personal preference? Makes a big diff.

  9. This recipe looks like it would be great to prep in advance and then cover at refrigerate or maybe even freeze. Aside from perhaps the croutons getting soggy. I suppose I had better test it out.

  10. Why the hell are you making dinner for one? You’re successful man at least make them for two and if you don’t have to, you need to get somebody there’s plenty of women out there….. then you got skills, women like men that can cook, and you also have a sense of humor stop making chicken farm for one… Joan get some pick one, if that doesn’t work pick another one… you’ll get there
