Finding The Best American Food In London | Harry’s Food Tours
While traveling the US, I claimed we didn’t have certain American foods in the UK. Things like tater tots, Texas barbecue, Philly cheesesteaks and more โ but it turns out I was wrong.
Today I’m on a mission to find delicious and authentic American food right here in London. I’m joined by friends who will help me review it all and decide if it lives up to the real versions I tried on my travels.
I’m visiting Texas Joe’s Slow Smoked Meats, Detroit Pizza, Passyunk Avenue, and Plaquemine Lock – and I’ve enlisted the help of some friends to assist me on my journey. Will the food live up to the real deal?

For brisket 10 hours is good but on the low itโs 12 and goes up to 24 hours buts itโs understandable to do ten being in London
you can buy Ranch in UK supermarkets now, Hellmans have just started doing it and Newman's Own ranch has been in sainsbury's stories for a year or so now

Recently visited Noodle Inn whilst in London and the brisket there was so soft and melt in the mouth. That first place looked so tough in comparison
That Brisket was strange. I've never smoked it for 10 hours or whatever but when I slow roast in a pot roast (4-5 hours,) one of my favourites, it is lterally falling apart.
Texas joes is so so good! But only if you get it at the right time!

The bite of a tot is cohesive like a croquette, not strand-separated like a hash brown so, while different to both, tots are more reminscent of croquettes
I wonder if with the Texas Brisket (I am in the UK but do watch Chuds BBQ) it might be that they don't have the hot hold step. I know a lot of the Texan spots hot hold to allow the meat to rest for a long time before carving.
You should review Shah's Halal Food. They have branches across the US, Canada and UK.
In arabic harry's surname means something like big belly. I'm guessing its more correctly supposed to mean cherry like the german / yiddish word.

Harry, please stop shoving the food in our faces by camera. It's annoying, it never focuses and we can see it when you hold it up. You wouldn't do that to someone you were sitting across from at the table, so why do it to your viewers?!
Most of that food looked sad compared to Texas standards. You should be able to hang brisket over your finger and the other cut you couldn't even stretch it apart ( looked like a rubber band).
The drinks were obviously American, the sausage looked good and both of you enjoyed the Mac and cheese.
Texas isn't really known for using BBQ sauces ( unless it's incorporated in something) and I'd have to check but Frito pie I believe is from New Mexico or Arizona? Fritos are nothing like doritos. Lol๐๐
