Ozempic is nearly EVERYWHERE now. At first, it looked like it was just celebrities dropping weight like crazy but now everyone is using it. I wanted to see how this medication was affecting the restaurant industry and what I found was fascinating. Not only are GLP-1s possibly killing your favorite sides, but it’s also causing the biggest shift in the restaurant industry we’ve seen this century…

  1. i haven't even started the video but if i don't hear O O O Ozempic! I'm sorry but i will dislike the video.
:edit i cant believe he didn't say it, I'm disappointed Santi. πŸ˜”

  2. GLP-1s are seriously dangerous!! They paralyze your stomach to make you fuller but can trigger gastroparesis, where you feel nauseous constantly. I suffered through it for six years and had to have surgery to fix it. I wouldn't wish that on anyone! It seriously isnt worth it!!

  3. Food is not only expensive but not that great. US workers are lazy compared to other countries, even more so in a state where the culture is more laid back. Like food courts in Waikiki, the tourists trap in my island. The food is godly expensive. The quality is good but not for its price at best, to totally not worth it as the baseline. However these places can often make terrible food and still cost a pretty penny.

  4. Prices can go down, but it takes that one or two doing it to start it. Someone charges less. People see they can get good stuff for less so they go there instead. People lose business and see they have to do the same to stay in the business. If no one does it first, things stay up

  5. The fact that with Ozempic people still go to McDonalds, but instead of eating a big portion they eat a smaller portion, is basically the main problem of Ozempic: People still keep their bad habits of eating fast food (just in a smaller size); instead of changing the habit to eat something healthier

  6. Though if this was 100% true it wouldn't be a struggle to find a grilled chicken sandwich. Literally every fast food place is all about the fried chicken.

  7. I like that better food is easier to come by now. I wish they made the portions easier to take home.

  8. It's not about the drug and while the increased cost of fries and lower paycheck people are making plays a good percentage of the reason it's not the main reason. The main reason is the quality of the fries have gone down not only is there less fries but the quality of the fries have gotten worse. I don't know if they changed the oil, or method of cooking,or if they are using different type of potatoes/ lesser quality potatoes ( the ones that are discarded by the potatoes farmers. I can't be the only person who has noticed something has recently changed with the McDonald's and other fast food restaurants fries. For one they get soggy quicker and just don't taste like they used to taste and I don't think changing salt would do anything but using poorer quality potatoes might

  9. i lost 50kg with Wegovy , would recommend. Not a shill or bot. for disability sedentary life style, it works.

  10. 12%? I know that's technically a lot of people, but this video gives the vibe of saying the economy is doing well because the stock market is up. It leaves out the majority of people who can't afford or won't use glp and who still make up the majority of customers at least for cheaper food.

  11. I'm so here for a GLP-1 menu. Not because I am on, or have ever been on, glp-1's, but because I "eat like a bird" and I have finished a total of 1 MAYBE 2 meals out at a restaraunt in the 8 years ive been with my husband. I've never been able to keep up with these portions! I just hope they adjust prices accordingly, because knowing businesses: they won't.

  12. Looking forward to seeing more of these mini meals as a gastric bypass person. Ordering off an appetizer or a kids' meal is so so.

  13. 5:57 That stuff is quite literally gonna give Taco Bell’s Miniverse a run for their money.

  14. Yea, here's the thing you didn't really touch on while you were singing these praises.
Portion size goes down, but the price will stay the same at best, and skyrocket due to more expensive sides at worst.
