Chain restaurants are closing by the hundreds across the country, as consumers say they’re fed up with increasing prices. But experts say restaurants are making less money despite those price hikes.

Value menu,s at fast foods places have me going more than ever. $5.00 breakfast at Mcdonalds? WAWA has a $5.00 breakfast?….LOOK AROUND SHOPPERS!!!
Then cook your meals at home. It's cheaper and can be healthier. These places suck anyway! Their food is poison.
Time to learn how to cook!😊
Home cooked food is delicious. It might even bring people together. 😊
Blue states are crumbling under progressive rule.
Minimum wage affects everything. You jacked the minimum wage and now you loose jobs and businesses.
But yet you voted for it .
I hate going out to eat. I prefer to cook for myself and my friends. The food is always better and the atmosphere says,"welcome".
You can learn to cook better or the same food by watching videos on YouTube or reading a cookbook. Also, plenty of food trucks out there with exceptional food.
Rubbish food i dont buy
It's very hard to believe! I don't eat out, simply because I like to know what I eat and I also enjoy cooking. This being said, some stores kind of play the price rising game, but others don't… Not that I could care less, but I do buy burgers and buns (mentioning those because they are shown in this video)… Premium burgers cost at Costco around a buck and the buns can't even be counted in at about $4/16pcs… I always end-u throwing buns away… Now… Go from a buck to whatever they charge and you will see it's not the food, but the rent and the labor, driving prices up! They won't tell you because they don't need beef with the landlords and with the employees…
Mamdani before election: "I promise free food!"
Mamdani after election: "Working people must pay 3x the price of things, so that my fav people can have free things!"
Fast food that isn’t…convenient that ain’t…inexpensive that is anything but. Recipe for closing!
Its OK. The mayor will just open city run fast food establishments, just like those grocery stores.
soon the only thing thats left is the building where they print dollars
I guess this is the "Golden Age" Trump said America is in now?
Don't eat their trash !!!! Garbage !!!
I ain’t paying $20 bucks for a Big Mac
Good , small businesses will have a better chance to survive.
Keep paying ceos millions
Sponge Bob to the rescue 🤦♀️
A promising young generation!
The single primary goal Trump promised is the same one he's ignoring. Instead, we have massive tax breaks for the Ultra Wealthy, and a brand new War. Wake up to actual Facts America. Feel the Burn.
Greed will get you over time.
Stop buying from them.
Bs, companies are raking in record profits. Fuckin liars.
How about the fact that most of it just doesn't taste good now. There's probably more meat in the hamburger bun than the hamburger at McDonald's at this point.
Trumps fault
The fast food industry needs to cease to exist. The food is poison and overpriced, workers are treated very poorly, and the stores are filthy and spread disease. People need to start cooking for themselves or make a sandwich for work.
Gee so that paying those people a living wage of $15 an hour hasn't worked as usual.
The liberal party is over😂😂😂
While consumers complain that fast food prices are too high, the same consumers who are overweight, have high cholesterol, and have health risks associated with high sodium intake, will start to make healthier food choices too. Bringing prepared lunches and snacks from home wherever they go will save them the same amount of money they've been spending at fast food chains without anything to show for it except a bunch of used food wrappers in the back of their car at the end of the day.
I thought trump fixes fixed on the day one, right. MAGA are still happy. Let them have their cake
Socialism
All these fools had a great time during Covid
lol people broke
Good news! Grow your own food! This food is poison! The grocerie store is poison too!
Restaurants did it to themselves with high prices and horrible food. Eat at home forget restaurants
Good. Smaller, local restaurants are the way to go. But cooking at home is even better
Good riddance
I'm done .
Dining out has been and will always be a luxury. When money is tight the first things to go are luxuries.
What do you expect when you tax business to death.
The niche eateries and restaurants will survive but, only the best. Many people including Gen Z are taking to cooking more often as well. Fast Food will continue to fail and deservingly so. Corporate greed and turning food into science projects for greed and destroying health is something they can't hide anymore.
I used to eat a lot of fast food. For years, places like Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and Burger King were my regular go-to spots. But eventually I noticed something that made me rethink the habit: the price of the meal I used to order climbed past $10. At that point, I decided it just wasn’t worth it anymore.
Instead, I invested in a small indoor electric grill and started buying different seasonings from my local grocery store. Now I make my own grilled sandwiches at home whenever I want something similar to fast food.
Not only am I saving a good amount of money, but I also feel like the food is healthier since I control the ingredients and how everything is prepared. In the end, it turned out to be a much better option for both my wallet and my health.
what do you expect? they hire people to shovel snow for 40 dollars and hour and just stand around and look at a pile of snow lol
I used to think it was the fuel prices to transport the goods to the stores but the more I read ( yes some of us still do so ) It seems that the do gooders who insist that the chains and mom and pop restaurant "pay a living wage"
Between 15 to 21 dollars an hr for rude people and attitude ,smaller proportions and face it they all start tasting the same and don't get me started on the tipping.
Cook for yourself.
How lazy can you be?
I can’t believe businesses are not making money, a lie! People don’t want dog food if it costs the price of a steak!
When you have to pay your workers $25 per hour what do you think was going to happen.😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
