‘Once you eat here, nothing elsewhere satisfies you” | A day of food in Lucknow | BBC News India

Lucknow, in northern India, was named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy in October 2025, recognition of a culinary tradition shaped by centuries of royal patronage.
The city is famed for its delicate flavours, slow-cooking techniques and devotion to food as an art form. We had some famous Lucknow meals: from puri-sabzi breakfasts and kulcha-nahari mornings to pulao lunches, and ending with evening chaat, galouti kebabs and sweet treats.

  5. As delicious as this food is, unfortunately having this food every day + sedentary lifestyle with hardly any exercise at all – no wonder we are at the top globally when it comes to diabetes & cardiovascular diseases…

  6. cover berhampur, odisha, food captial of odisha. but its less famous in India but its the best balanced food which can be consumed by any one from india on a daily basis

  7. Indian food is great but it lacks culture of hygiene. Even in this video some famous restaurant or places, people do not use latex glove while preparing or serving food. And many has blackened nails. Is there any food safety standard enforcement in India, does restaurant knows it, do people care about it and does anyone audit this?

  8. I have tried all the cuisines from the world and I can say that Indian cuisine is by far the best and the most diverse.

Plus, it teaches meditation step by step, it's a real gem & gift to humanity to end the loneliness forever…!!!💫

  10. Worst video showing the person even not wearing any glove throwing roti or chapati. As well lucknow with more muslim people eat beef and all yaaak. And calling this great food. Come to south india and see what is food means

  11. Very sad food culture. Especially for non vegetarians. No variety. Lot of cattle feed available for vegetarians

  12. Tunday kebab's galauti kebab with sheermal is no doubt one of the best non veg dishes I have ever had!!
Just looking at it here made me crave for it sooo badly 😢

  13. This is not the old era where survival meant just having food. Today, raising a child requires stability, planning, and responsibility. If we lack financial stability and resources, it is unfair to bring a child into a life of struggle and suffering. Life is tough, and opportunities are not guaranteed. Having children is a serious responsibility, not a social obligation.
