I Tested Gas Station Restaurants

Today I tried something I’ve always wondered about… restaurants inside gas stations.
Have you ever been filling up your car and noticed a full restaurant attached to the station? Not the roller dogs or convenience store snacks — an actual kitchen serving real food. I decided it was finally time to find out if these gas station restaurants are hidden gems or just there for convenience.
In this vlog I visited three gas station restaurants in Colorado to see if they’re actually worth stopping for:
📍 Shahristan Kabob & Gyro – 7310 N Broadway, Denver CO 80221
📍 Garibaldi’s Mexican Bistro – 3298 S Broadway B, Englewood CO 80113
📍 Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q – 315 S 31st St, Colorado Springs CO 80904
From shawarma and baklava, to Mexican plates with rice and beans, to Texas-style brisket and smoked BBQ, I’m putting these spots to the test to see if they deliver real restaurant quality food — even though they’re located next to gas pumps.
Some of these places completely surprised me.
If you love discovering hidden gem restaurants, local food spots, BBQ joints, and unexpected food finds, you’re going to enjoy this one.

Garibaldi is one of my faves.
Rudy's is the only BBQ that ever made me literally sick. It wasn't the one in CS however.
Garibaldi's was good when we went. Saw that a lot of people online liked it.
Rudy’s weekend prime rib, corn on the cob add hot sauce, turkey with jap sausage sandwich and of course sweet tea
Best gyros I’ve had were in Chicago
Best in Colorado that I’ve found is Bada Bing
Edward’s meat market sells authentic gyro meat, pitas, and a decent tzatziki sauce. It could use a little more cucumber
I'll be your 180th viewer even though you sent me a snarky reply to my last comment on you not being milehighfooddude anymore. Basically, trying to cap on the world not just Colorado rez lol js
Rudy's is pretty decent bbq. Didn't have it in Colorado though
